Official SDCC 2010 Front Page News Thread

ENJOY!
Troynos:
Looks like the same setup they used at Joecon. Hope there's more to come.
KALASH69:
Man that Duke looks pretty cool for a Duke figure...

The armor reminds me of the Colonial Marines.
polyphenus:
Love that Duke figure coming in January! Finally a Duke that doesn't look like a wimp or Channing Tatum!
DESTRO:
Many more to come I need to go post TFW stuff Ill be back with more in a few minutes.......
Highway:
Alpine!
ekko:
I am liking the desert scorpion figure, looks good for a kitbash
SteelBrigade:
Low-Light, Shock Troop, and Alley Viper are my top 3 must from those pics!
ceraurus:
Wow, love that Shock Trooper.
Adamantite:
They haven't changed a thing. Ninja Gaiden Storm Shadow is still awful, desert scorpion is almost as bad. What was great is still great at least.
CrimsonGuard101:
LOL...

I love this shot of Alpine...he's doing Shaggy going ZOOOINKS! or Inspector Gadget...or he's been using some of Footlooses "stash"

Freaking Destor is Huge that guy looks killer in that armor and the Shocktroopers those will be the last of the army buiders too bitter sweet :(
Stoner:
Holy Flurkin schnip Destro is Badass!!!!
Ultimate Jaburg:
There is a lot of cool stuff here.

Who hasn't wanted a gi joe sized suitcase full of money?!!

A very awesome prop with a multitude of uses.
Ultimate Jaburg:
Do you know how many 1:18th scale payoffs I've made with an empty suitcase?

One of these days somebody is going to catch on to that.
G.I.Spawn:
The Destro is awesome with the suitcase full of money, but the Lowlight with the little bullet is badass
Kirok:
Is it just me or are Duke and Destro missing their Aliens inspired weapons. I did not see the smart gun in the Destro photos nor the pulse rifle in the Duke photos. I sure hope they didn't cancel those weapons. I saw the mounting arm for Destro's smart gun, but maybe it's for the minigun too.
destro72:
Love the Low Light, but that Alpine is flat out awful.
johnsocal:
Aren't these things we have already seen before?

Yes we have seen all the way into late 2011-2012. At 3-4 months between POC releases they will be at least a year or 2 away from revealing the Renegades stuff. That is is Hasbro has appeased the Mayans by 2012...and if ROC 2.0 dose not get in the way.
Snake Shadow09:
nothing new at all.. how disapointing..
Ctrl_Z:
I can't wait. I'ma check this one out for sure.

Is anything at the booth for sale?
EduardimusPrime:
Most of everything looks awesome!... I don't know about that desert scorpion though... looks like a lame kitbash. We have way better desert scorpion customs on the tank.

There are a lot of customs on here that look better than what's available lol.

Keep in mind though that there are no limits on what parts or paints are available at a given time to use to the customizers here.
Shadow_01:
love those shock troopers.
Mr.Kane:
Nothing new just more of the same hummm.....
pud333:
Hopefully there will be other stuff they'll reveal. Still love that Destro.
cobralegion:
Awesome stuff coming out. Can't wait to get the Alley Vipers and Cobra Shock Troopers!
Gyre-Viper:
as much as I'd like them to have something new to show...

I wasn't expecting it, really. could happen. could be great.

but that's what joecon is for. JOES.

not everyone could make it to joecon and not everyone is a joe collector.
they're showing off their new line like everyone else at SDCC.

sure it'd be nice if they pulled a 2011 TRU exclusive out of thin air or
a few Ren figures or even just a HISS repaint but if they don't ... why
would you be surprised?? POC literally just started... and doesn't end til next year. between POC, the Resolute sets, the Hub launch, and their other (more successful) properties... a few months after joecon I really don't expect much other than what we've already seen.
Monkeywrench:
can't wait for LL

Dawg99:
low light looks amazing
also want a bunch of the shock trooper
DaViper:
everything looks great! Like everyone, I can't wait for lowlight as well
Cobra Terrorist:
Wow, these figures are blowin' me away! I can't wait to get my hands on Low Light and about 10 Shock Troopers!

LOL. Oh god...

The suitcase and Lowlight's gear are the only new pictures to me but they alone are more than worth it.

I don't care about the repaints, but every one of these original designs is hitting it out of the park. I want multiples of each as soon as they drop, and the best part is it's not just because I like Joe. If anything I have collected more WWII & Star Wars for the past year... but damn. I hope other collectors from other hobbies take notice. People with an eye for quality who like toys need to jump on these.

That Destro is a great mix of Spiral Zone, C.O.P.S. and M.A.S.K. plus he comes with a briefcase full of cash... that is insane. And LL's accessories are equally mind-blowing.

These are the Hot Toys or DiD of 1:18 scale, no contest.
FIREFLY21:
never did much army building, BUT those shock troopers, ....oooh
(wish they make a grenshirt joe as detailed and cool)

destro is bada$$!

I'm down on Alpine, looks goofy. I can/will kitbash a better one with all the arctic gear we already have

LowLight and SE are just WOW

SS on the other hand, just bad. Hasbro, go back to the original look, and simply make a more detailed, slightly modernized figure
tycondrius:
hey guys has anyone questioned as to why both african american joes now look like walking targets ?

btw some nice quality pics there
A.V.A.C.:
awesome stuff, i'm looking forward to these! thanks for the pics.
tycondrius:
hey guys another two questions 1 for folks at the con . the tron figures are they joe scale ? only asking cuz I see vehicles coming for this line. also 2 question this may be the same set up as joecon but somthings missing !!! both destro and Duke are missing their Aliens hardware !!! anyone else notice this ?
Mint Condition:

This Snake Eyes looks amazing. A PoC version of the good ol' Commando Snake Eyes.
donmagic:
I hate Arctic figs, but do like Snow Job.
JohnnyAngel77:
Alpine will make another arctic edition. I love it. That 2011 SE is badass looking too.
2pacnacho:
Cobra shock trooper looks sick!

LowLight looks AWESOME!!!!! Finally ...
NSA:
Took a bunch of pics, mostly the same as they have here, but a couple different angles.

SDCC 2010: Hasbro G.I. Joe Booth! | The Fighting 1:18!

Such a small Joe booth this year, kinda depressing. Hoping for something exciting at the panel!
Shin Densetsu:
I still think that 2011 Storm Shadow would look much better with white pants instead of red. That way, the stripes or whatever could stick out more. The red pants just look out of place. The figure looks like a modernized V2 smacked with Ninja Gaiden, which isn't a bad thing but it doesn't wow me like the 2011 Snake Eyes. Holy shit that is cool.
NSA:
Yeah I'm stoked on almost all the new figures, they look great in person. Love the gear and the designs for the most parts.

Could leave 99% of the vehicles though, not really feeling them, though the new marketing is MUCH MUCH better than the RoC debacle.
Echo7Solo:
The only figure I'm not thrilled with is Storm Shadow. Low Light is the single best figure I've ever seen by far. The sculpt on Alpine's jacket is real cool.

I do feel like I should say one thing to Hasbro with this..... next show or con or anything you do please let somebody else use the glue gun. PM me and I'll do it for you lol.... just not quite so much. Or at least take an xacto knife to the strands or something. I'm just saying here....
Black Swan:
Destro looks sweet! Lowlight is pure awesome! I can't waiit till I see these all tomorrow.
