Our first update from inside SDCC 2009 shows of the early set up at the Hasbro Booth. The G.I. Joe Movie has a massive section and I would expect to see a ton of new product this week as time goes on.

The #1 thing on the list of unseens that I'm looking forward to are the mini playsets. I can't wait to throw money like crazy at those things

You may want to mention a spoiler warning.

There won't be any "new" single figures, right? I remember in one of the Q+As, Hasbro said there would be "over 30" figures coming through the end of the year, and so far we've seen/gotten 37 in the first three waves.

hmm... maybe they meant 30 new figures, not 15 different Snake Eyes, 10 different Storm Shadows, and 5 different Dukes.. (DAMN YOU Hasbro, you knew we couldn't resist buying a Snake Eyes in a Parka! Or an unmasked Storm Shadow! Or a Duke in ... well.. any outfit you put him in! Damn you, damn your slave-hold grip on us.. )
Well, here's hoping for a ROC Spearhead & Max to fight in the desert, or a ROC-era Rock Viper (school of redundancy school graduate)...

Hasbro mentioned in the Q&A that JoeCon would feature the first look at some 2010 product, so there will definitely still be new stuff at the Con.

Word has it that this is what the mini sets will contain:

Surveillance Port (with movie themed Tele-Viper)
LAW (that appears to come with Tripwire)
MMS in the crimson “SMS” color scheme (that appears to come with Scrap Iron)
Outpost Defender (Roadblock with Resolute Sculpt)

Those...sound amazing. You know how much I've been wishing for an MMS? And in Crimson to go with my UBP HISS Tanks? Oh man. And Outpost Defender with Resolute Roadblock? Dude. And a Surveillance Port? Yesss. *fist pump* Here's hoping the Tele-Viper has some gear!

There will be a huge, massive, update tomorrow with the complete booth and nice hi-res images. The first update was just the new items at the booth and Hasbro always puts more items in the case over time.

JILL S MORELLI?!! and nothing more than a repainted helix head on a scarlett body?!! oh man...Law N Order look tolerable but Jill S. Morelli?!! Unless that it turns out shes the wife/sister/daugther of og dialtone this one is gettin' sold quick when i get this set. On the plus side the snow cat looks amazing (despite frosbite appearantly being clean shaven unless thats blizzard its pretty cool lookin either way) and i am salavating over the minisets like the gunner station\, mms etc etc.

i really hope they still crank out new figures and not just reuse headsculpts to make new charcaters. Things like city duke are plausible but to slap say "sloth"zartans head on a RA body and call him lowlight would be UNacceptable.

No! its a complete fail! our chances ruined by ROC of getting more 25th classic style figures....money saved I guess

To YOU it is a fail. Not everyone. I think the line NEEDS more female characters, and Dial-Tone is such a minor figure in G.I. Joe lore replacing him doesn't matter. At all. If all you want is 25th anniversary figures, well...I don't know what to tell you. I don't just want the same figures over and over again, because I can adapt and accept change.

I always love how the pictures are crap quality and are NEVER front-on, they are always from a side angle....

that 5 pack is a real stinker. When we got tipped off on Footloose a few q & a's ago, I was hoping for a "classic" one. Instead we get this garbage. It looks like "resolute" RB is his head only on a HD body which is full of lame.

thats why the polls on here show that the majority want classic 25th figures and resolute figures....Hasbro could of easily did these in classic style...but no they believe everything must be ROC themed and make blasphemous versions of figures...piss poor updates of these characters IMO
