Rumor has it that it's going to be something super sexy.

By sexy I mean an signed, 8x11 autograph of KrysmynGardImmoral in a bear skin speedo.

It's going to be a 25th Styled Figure.
geekacres:
Excellent ! Looking forward to making our yearly pilgramage to Joisey.

I do love the NJCC. I've yet to miss one, and I don't plan on skipping out on this one either. As for your Eagles game - just DVR that shit. There's also free wifi at the hotel, so if you want to stream it to your phone while there you can.

Watch the game in the Bar!!!!
Abraxxus:
I'll be there again. Went to the one in May and found a lot of stuff I've been looking for. Hoping for the same luck this time around
emags:
If the exclusive is a figure, will there be more? Thought the HISS tanks were limited to 10 or 11.......

That's more than enough reason to skip this show....lol

But I will be there at my table. Looking forward to seeing those who will make it!
Superjoe74:
Perhaps a super sexy 25th style Glitter and Gold Jem..
geekacres:
My wants list for this year's show is shorter than previous years, but I always walk away with one or two surprises. My cousin had the BIG surprise last year when he came home with the the Starstriker giveaway ! As for me, last year I let a good deal on a loose Rhino get away. I want one, but I'm not paying Evilbay prices. So yeah, looking forward to the show and hoping to find some unexpected surprises.

nope...it's because they're holding the event in the stinkiest/stupidest place on the planet...New Jersey...the only other state I avoid like Jersey is West Virginia...they tend to breed a different kind of stupid in those states...yes...more so than even The Mighty(stupid) Texas...if you're from any of these states and can form complete sentences, then obviously you are the minority, and are thus excluded from my opinion of your home state, but only a little, you still live there...

I so want to pull the trigger and go to this.

Moderate size ballroom of varied collections. The first year I went(2 years ago, now) there seemed to be a pretty decent balace of Joes and Transformers. Last year seemed to be a bit more TF-heavy, possibly because of the Dark of The Moon movie ? Hourly drawings for some nice prizes. Its enough for my son, cousin, and myself to drive out for an overnight stay. Raid some of the local stores on Saturday, spend half the day on Sunday.

Mostly GI Joe and Transformers stuff. Show opens early and always a number of dealers are late as hell. That crap is annoying, don't they want my money?

That is a beaut'.

Metal-Head is the heavy metal virtuoso/anti-tank specialist/autistic member of Destro's Iron Grenadier squad with a sophisticated weapon guidance system integrated directly into his childlike brain. He tests his visual acquisition sensors by locking onto the mashed potatoes as they are passed from one end to the other. He calculates wind deflection by observing how the steam rises off the meat loaf!

Metal-Head also enjoys skiing with the jet-set on the slopes of New Hampshire, where he is known for cutting off other skiers, shooting at chair lifts and being just plain mean! Either way, he's like a five-year-old evil genius with a robotic murder suit.
+1 internets to whoever wrote that...
KrymsynGardImmoral:
The custom GI Joe giveaway for this show is, as shown, Metal-Head. just like the Jungle BAT HISS and HAZARD Tank, he will be given away as a door prize over the course of the show.

The images here are a pretty good mock-up, or a "prototype". There will be additional details added, like the goggles and some IG symbols, in the form of a sweet decal sheet from Cobrastickers, with a couple really cool easter eggs.

The launcher is an early cast, the final one will be cast in light gray, matching the vest as closely as possible.

We'll have more details later, but the efforts of our team have been outstanding so far. RaginSpoon and Nova return as casters, Cobrastickers adds some fantastic detailing, and Marauder, Inc is supplying us with extra accessories once again. There are some other things being worked out currently, but as is, we are pretty proud of the progress of the project.

Looks good man. My chances of getting one are slim to none, but still sweet stuff nonetheless.

I toooooooooooooooo!
nighthawk:
Looks nice! I don't think I'll have any shot of getting it as I can't make it to these shows. :( You should offer a small amount in a contest or something for those who can't attend...haha.
The L.O.C.:
Wish I could go.... Dallas show is the same day and only a drive away. Otherwise I would be there! CGI's work is amazing and worth the chance at the raffle!
geekacres:
Hoping that dealers bring the Joe back. Though I enjoy both sides of the Hasbro aisle, last year seemed a bit Bot heavy. Again, perhaps because of the DotM flick ? At any rate, looking forward to seeing everybody there !
cmderinchief:
Great work on the figure Kev!
creggar:
Ahh, hence another nail in my collecting coffin. So many original line Joes I will never own. Perhaps soon my collection will be on e-Bay, since I will never complete it.

What are the chances of future exclusives being available at the show for purchase?

I'm on the fence about going, would love to get Metalhead if I could.

Zero, I'm sorry. Maybe Destro can elaborate, but due to the "unofficial" nature of the show and the custom exclusives, nothing can be sold. That is why we give them away for free.

Is this a custom or made by Hasbro?

100% Correct.
Crossbones:
Despite whatever the midwest contingent says in attempts to diss NJ, this is a phenomenal show and Destro deserves max kudos for making it happen now TWICE a year. I bring my seven year old and it is a grand shopping spree for us both. If you are a joint TF/Joe collector it is Christmas morning in 1986. Bring cash and make several trips to your trunk!

It is a custom, not made or endorsed by Hasbro in any way.

Well, the base figure, minus the head, is made by Hasbro, but the rest is all us.
jmc2915:
is this going to be one of a kind or will there be a number of these given away?

We are shooting for more that we normally do (the Hazard tanks came in at 20 pieces), but I don't want to say that "officially" until all the cast parts are in, and the figure are assembled. With the tanks, we give away one per hour over the course of the show. I am shooting to have enough figures available for 2 per hour to be given away.
The L.O.C.:
Forgive my ignorance here... Do you guys make exclusives for both shows each year?

Yeah, and soon, a third, as soon as the Florida show planning is in stone.

Gotta be more to it then that, I'd think. Coilcon, Canadian Joecon, and even people's personal customs are sold for money. And the other con's are unofficial too.

It's cool that njcc gives 'em away.
