Mr Hebime:
Should've made the blue parts black...
G.I.Spawn:
Looks good
Syn3sthesia:
That's more like it!!!
goosetuber:
How about "figures that lack paint apps for $1000 Alex?"

Nice looking helmet, and great retaliation trooper body, but geez Louise, how about some detail or paint for the newly sculpted gear??????

nickvree:
Wow, great job club! Impressed they didn't just do a repaint of the same ol' Charbroil body.
Tom-1:
That looks great! A really nice take on the classic look - and what do you know, the original helmet! Spectacular!

'Loving the shiny look to his blue bits - looks like he works in a forge or metal works. Awesome stuff from the Club!

Ok, I take it back. Should've made it a darker shade of blue
ero:
Looks great. Anyone have his original art? Not seeing it on yojoe.com.

So, who here thinks they're going to use that PoC Duke for Psyche-Out?
245am:
excellente...

NF Charbroil has a personal attachment for me & is one of my favorite original repaints, so I'm glad they didn't go with the straight blue/grey repaint of the ROC Charbroil. That figure borrowed way too much from Blowtorch & never felt like Charbroil proper to me... This is a bit more POC than 25th than I may have hoped for, but given the option of an ROC repaint of a repaint, I'm more than happy with this...
YoJoeNCSU:
I love the figure, but I really wish they would have stayed true to the Night Force accessories and gone with a black, possibly with some silver or gray details.

I realize a lot of the con exclusive use gray accessories, but in this case black would have looked more realistic and been a better homage to the originals.

In my best Nelson from the Simpsons voice........

Ha - Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
atomatron:
psyche out v3 then?

and another hit & run? when the AOCI looked spot on?
YoJoeNCSU:
I am glad to see these are 25th type versions of the originals, and not some wacky club update or even using that crappy green grid pattern from a few years back.
Tom-1:
'Reminds me of this:

If we still had flame throwers in the military (that we use) I bet they'd make a uniform like this for them to wear in this modern world of velcro and reflective belts

Tom
skinny:
A very nice homage to the original. not keen on the shiny bits but perhaps if Hasbro had the paint, they would have made the original variant shiny like the chromed up brown and yellow version one.
I too like the fact that they didn't just repaint a 2009 Charbroil and take the easy way out.

This I Command!:
This figure kicks ass, the club is killing it so far. I think these 4 reveals are miles ahead of anything that was in the OG/IG set.

I've wondered for a long time why the club always uses gray accessories (and have been for like a decade), because all the NF figures should have black, and Frag Viper's should be in black too. Doesn't really bother me, but I am curious why they seem to love gray accessories so much.
Taterbot:
Like it! Getting excited about the others now!

I have no clue, but maybe it's their way of their being a difference between a con weapon and one you can get at retail
Jinx723:
This is an excellent homage to the original '89 Night Force Charbroil. Wish they showed him without the helmet. I wanna see which head mold they used.
So, are all the figures in this set using Retaliation parts?
I wonder if Repeater is next since he was packaged with Charbroil in the original Night Force two pack?

Hmmm.... with the Resolute Arctic Duke head too.
Copper21:
Love it. Spot on from the original.

We know that the DG Joes could be offered at a lower price because of less accessories and paint apps (sticking basically with 4 colors.) There's a good chance the Club has gone that route at least as far as colors to try and not raise the set price for this year with production costs doubling. Most of the picks were probably based on who wouldn't need that much color to match the ARAH era ones.
rglass2:
There you go, much better...back to being excited about this set

To make them a bit more distinct from the originals?
MonkeyBoyZ:
I for one think it is terrible. It doesn't bode well for Repeater or Hit & Run at all. And by that, I mean for my wallet since the Collectors Clubs seems intent on making a set of great looking figures. They have shown some fantastic looking figures so far. Time to sell that kidney on craigslist to pay for GI Joe in 2013.

Maybe it saves money on paint apps. Not sure.
SgtChameleon79:
I am going to have to disagree here with the majority, I think this figure looks terrible. I dont see any resemblance to the original NF version. I think its a very plain, odd looking figure.
Tanksmasher:
I'm indifferent but he never was a favorite of mine.

LOL? Do you need a picture to help your memory? It is very similar.
G.I. Shaft:
The figures don't impress me so far and the line up is not what I am looking for anyways.

Doesn't fit too well, at least it didn't on my custom. I ended up using the Chuckles head as the base.

besides the original helmet and the paint colors, what exactly is similar? decent take sure, very similar paint scheme yes, similar figure , have to disagree
Nightrain:
I like it.
Nirvana:
Side note: G.I. Joe Collectors' Club - Iceberg is pending his head. :-)

Progress towards this year's membership figure.
manic mailman:
i had the 1st versions of all these night force joes never had the NFs but i think i prefer the NF schemes for sure.

it bothers me though that all this new tooling is going to lesser characters and we still dont have a good ARAH versions of Gung Ho or Roadblock
Superjoe74:
What head does he have under the newly retooled helmet-anyone else wonder?

As for the gray weapons, no one really likes those but, we all know shortly after these sets are out a parts caster will have them in their store. Don't be surprised if we can get the accessories in black that way.

Remember- all of these figures are prototypes- they may or may not be fully painted, etc.
steve2477:
The Club have done a pretty good job on Charbroil.
cardensb:
Paint??
Scoop:
I hope they decide to release this Charbroil figure, as well as the other Night Force figures, in their original non-Night Force outfits.
revsears:
this was a figure i wasn't expecting to like, and yet, i love it! I really love the VVV torch flamethrower rework.

Did you not ever see the 25th Roadblock (v1 or v2) or the 25th Gung Ho? They were pretty true to ARAH.

Most of this stuff isn't new tooling, it just reusing previously designed parts with a couple new twists like a new helmet or head here and there.
supersonicshion:
Neon´s back and we´re happy.
Ford:
Really? This impresses people, yet the Retaliation stuff gets bashed?
jpasstime:
So this is the only way to get half decent figures now is to join clubs, and pay through the nose for hacked up repainted con exclusives??? What a joke this line has become!
