THE RED SHADOWS:
Blackhive:
    repainted whip from croc master.
NAJA EMPIRE:
    so so
Roshan:
That red on the shoulders just looks out of place.

But i'll give them props for making a new head mold instead of just slapping bison on it.

    or is that bison's head?
CG82:
Looks like some nazi inspired S&M fetistist.
Foolproof:
    I dig it.
Dawg99:
    looks pretty decent to me
Zoltron:
    Boo, it's an o-ring figure.
JohnnyAngel77:
    Pretty sweet.
CrimsonGuard101:
If that was 25th/ME style it would = win

to bad it's an epiclly failed o-ring abomination

    I conquer.
swafus:
God, for the life of me I just can't take O-ring figures seriously now. IMO they just look ridiculous compared to the 25th style. It's like comparing an iphone to a brick-phone.

lol you do know the Red Shadows troopers were originally Nazi inspired, right? you saying this just says the club got it right LOL
Jaybird:
I think it looks good for o-ring...I just don't like the o-ring figs anymore.
starscream-99:
I don't like it. The only O-Ring figures I like now are the original ARAH.
ShockVal:
Most excellent. I like it. Can't wait to see the rest of the set.
nighthawk:
I'm happy it's Oring. Now I don't need to feel bad about not getting it. I still want last year's convention stuff but still don't have any so I'm glad it's the old style so I don't need to feel bad not being able to get it.
Cobra88:
BOOOOO its an O-ring, i thought it was going to be 25th type, fail!
snotshadow:
the whip seems a bit over the top to me...
snakeeyes22:
Nice assembly of featureless parts to match the vintage look. I have no interest or money for it, but I think it came together well and doesn't look as forced as some do.

Seeing the Red Shadows logo is hypnotizing.
bluesparrow:
I have to admit this is a nifty set. I'm definitely jealous it's not 25th style. I'm looking forward to the Club Big Lob figure(probably the only one) but more than one o-ring figure isn't my bag, especially at basically $20 a pop.

At least this will allow me to free up more income for when they finally offer the club exclusive Adventure Team figure/vehicle sets. I want some Air Adventurers!
RATFINK:

The head, torso, and arms are from M. Bison, the waist and legs are from CP Grunt, who got those from the Action Marine figure.

I don't get why some of us are saying BOOOOO O-RING like this is some sort of breaking news. They announced some time ago that they were using the o-ring figures this year.
nightfall:
I really like the idea. Be way cool if it were 25th anniversary look. The vehicles should be out of this world. Alot going on this year. Going back in time,a cartoon,POC,and Resolute. Alot of things' to please everyone.
Dream:
Modern era versions of these would rock.

When we were stuck with New Sculpt figures on the shelves, I was thankful that MC had o-ring con sets, so we could add on to our o-ring collections, as I didn't care much for the new sculpt figures.

But now, I'm wishing they would go with the times and release ME figures in their con sets, like how their TF con sets are all taken from newer lines, and not repainted G1 figures.

    .................
I hope they get done someday for sure but right now Im just happy to see these guys show up again, they are a BIG improvement over the originals ........at least so far they are LOL
Scotty97:
Man, I was already not happy that they were going with O-Ring, but this is a poor showing so far. Not very creative, and the pieces/colors seem out of place. And to top it off, it does give off a creepy S & M vibe. At least he doesn't have womens' heels on.
alexan2dros:
o ring figure? a step back... pass...
TheLongestDay:
    I like mine better

that is an incredible looking Black Major , you should post that on the BFTB forums, the guys would go crazy over it!

hopefully hasbro will do that in the future, Id buy it!
DPrime:
    Guys, seriously, get over it.

80% of you wouldn't be buying it even if it WAS 25th, because you'd be complaining of how expensive it was.

We've known the set was going to be RAH style for some time now. Are you going to complain about that every time a new figure is revealed? Yawn...

Personally I think this looks great. I'm glad I will have a RAH style Black Major figure to go alongside my Red Laser and Red Jackal. As much as I wanted to see a 25th style set as well, this is still damn cool for those of us who actually collect the Action Force stuff.

    you guessed it!
Shogi:
I think this figure is awesome! For those of you thinking he looks too much like some S&M character, you obviously haven't looked at the original figure because this is pretty damn accurate to the 80's figure (I guess it's the whip that makes you think that way?)

Yes, this is an O-Ring figure, guess what? We have 14 more O-Ring figures coming in this set

I guess this means the Red Shadow figures will be "classic" style, I still wonder what the "Red Torch" figures will look like?

Looking at the pictures, I think the arms are from Headman. The original M.Bison arms have the end of the gloves wider than the sleeve, on this figure the end of the sleeve is wider than the gloves
Cobra80:
I had a quick question about the new Black Major figure that is going to be offered at JoeCon. Is the waist piece the same used for the 30th anniversary G.I. Joe Marine 3 3/4 figure? I just got one in a lot of figures recently and the Marine figure has pouches around the back of the figure.

    Just wondering.

    Yes, looks like they used:

    Head - M.Bison
    Torso - M.Bison/Hardball
    Arms - Headman
Waist and Legs - CP Grunt/Action Marine
tycondrius:
I wonder why they didn't chose Baron Ironblood for the set unless.....DUN dun dun he is interrogator under that mask !!
Monkeywrench:
    I like it

Indeed. It's not even really a "good" o-ring figure, IMO.

Honestly, I don't want him in this set, yeah sure, he started out as the leader of the Red Shadows but then he decided to betray them, kill them all off (or at least try) and go start a new snake themed terrorist organization with his new name: Cobra Commander

Now that I read all that, it almost seems assured, it'll be Ironblood under the Interrogator's helmet :(

I guess you all will have to dry your tears of pain at this abominable O-ring figure with the dozens and dozens of sales receipts you will have from purchasing THE ENTIRE MAIN LINE OF GI JOE in 2010. You know, the entire POC line, the multiple resolute sets, the remaining ROC product that is coming out before August, oh, and the SDCC exclusives you are sure to get.

I hope the pain and trauma associated with this gross and egregious personal slight against you will pass. Who do these o-ring collectors think they are anyway? Why should they get ANY product (one set per year) AT ALL directed at them!?!?!?!? Only God knows why injustice exists in the world.

In time, dear friends, the pain will subside.

Just remember, "this too shall pass."

    ;)

Jay West:
I will admit it's cool looking. Not cool enough to buy, but cool non the less. I loved o-ring back in the day, but not so much now. But it's cool for the fans of o-rings.
Syn3sthesia:
Ok fig to see not enough to buy.
Steel Brigade:
The Club is off to a good start with Black Major! They did a great job with the deco (as I had to look twice to identify the M. Bison parts for sure), & he looks very oldskool German.
