Kluster Bombs:

dmizrok:
looks a little gawdy to me...
heikks86:

exactly. Not everyone is on the wannabe-thug rap bandwagon.

That is a display only, and for that price tag...looks like I will never buy it. Another waste of time, money and man hours. HASBRO keep'em coming while canceling the 25th line....good job.
SVT_COBRA:
OMFG flat brim......yeah Im gonna grow out Luke Skywalker hair, get some tight ass pants and wear that hat
RuckusJr:
    Where'd you pick that up?
delta1974:
    $40.00 is a bit much for a hat,but if it's really limited to say a 100 then i guess it's worth it.

So everyone who wears a fitted hat is on the wannabe-thug rap bandwagon? I wear fitted hats sometimes and I don't think I'm a thug or rapper. Keep stereotyping, it shows how intelligent you really are.

ShockVal:
No way I pay $40 for a cap. Not to mention I'm no where near Hip enough to sport such a thing on my mellon.
03Mach1:
Huge fan of the 5950. Any idea if this hat will be available at regular retailers or is it just a SDCC exclusive?
Deefuzz:
Wow, that is a very loud hat!

no fitted hat is a fitted hat. this is one of those loud fitted hats that those crunk rappers wears. and crunk is not hip hop.

I feel you on that. I hate that crunk rap crap. The fitted hats I wear are usually either one solid color, or two colors, not loud like this Joe hat is. Why couldn't they have made a all black one with a red cobra symbol on the front? Now that would be cool.

I own about 12 new era fitted hats due to the fact I'm a Red Sox fan and last time I checked Im not a thug... as for the flat brim... shape it thats what i do, and thats what the pro ball players do. I also think that if you people dont have 40 spend on a hat, shoes, or other misc forms of clothing then you probly shouldnt be spending your hard earned money on action figures...

Mate you don’t understand, it’s not the brand, it’s the style. A team cap is fine, but this loud thing is ridiculous.
airmax95:
To each his own. No one is forcing you to buy one. There are people who specifically collect these NewEra hats. These will be hard to get.
killerloon:
I will admit it is loud... and that I shouldnt have flown off the handle like that... Im tired of people stereo-typing everything and the racial insinuations... Im sorry if i upset anyone... and I do mean that..
EyeForeignEye:
Eye diddn't see any "racial insinuations"...no one said anything about black/white/purple/whatever just about gaudy rap fasions...so is the one complining to the "insinuators" insinuating that all rappers are black?....myself I'm an emcee, and far from it....oh yeah its loud but Eye could pull it off! I'd rock that sh*t with pride!
samantha:
That hat looks like a Sunday morning comic strip.
KingStalin:
Not usually a fan of the 59Fifty hats but this one is really sweet looking. But I agree with a previous poster. Would anyone wear this?

I'd wear one if they came out with nothing but cartoon images on it. Put the old school logo on the back of it and I'm sold.

59/50 caps are usually $30 a pop anyway. I'd pay $40 for the one I just described.
Troynos:
What a horrible hat. It might be OKAY to display, a little to busy, and definately not worth $40 bucks.

That hat is nasty. People actually like that?

Now let me know when they release a black hat with the gold shield design on it.

40 for a hat is ridiculous. I won't pay more then 20 bucks and that's pushing it.

Course, I can't stand most of the new styles of hat nowadays anyways. Get a new Patriots or Sox hat every other year and it takes forever to find one I actually like. Too much of a hip hop influence in hat designs nowadays for my tastes.

I think clothing prices are ridiculous. But then I've never been a fashion follower. Could care less what the latest craze is or what the latest hip hop/rapper is wearing. Don't know, don't care to know.

I can outfit myself just fine with clothes bought at cheaper stores. Having to have a namebrand is just damn stupid.

The exception is Levis jeans. I don't mind spending that much on a pair of Levis because I know I can get 3-5 years out of a single pair.

Even if I was mega-rich I wouldn't change my clothing spending habits. Action Figure prices are bad, but no where near as stupid as clothing prices.

    40 for a hat? That's just dumb.

rap and hip hop crunk etc are NOT racial insinuations....
Troynos:
What's so special about it being a 5950 hat?

What makes a 5950 style hat? The only thing I see that a normal hat doesn't have is that badge thing on the brim.

You know, man? Sometimes the things that come out of your mouth and through your fingertips are BEYOND ignorant.

So if some likes that hat they're a wanna be thug? Let me guess, if someone likes hip hop they're a thug too, right?

    Anyways....cool hat, DESTRO.
IceWolf:
$40!!! (Chokes on breakfast) I will admire it from afar!
A.V.A.C.:
Hats make your hair fall out. What I need for my mellon is a sweet elastic head band with matching wrist bands.
mattwrightkitty:
That hat, no shirt, and a pair of nunchucks, while hanging out at UDF all day.
Hawkeye Pierce:
I think it is too "busy" for a hat. Looks like something out of NASCAR.

Yep, I hate those types of caps, like the more traditional looking baseball cap, but the design is solid.
iowajedi:
I love the art and the idea of old school apparel, but wouldn't wear that hat for a second. I wish that companies would focus more on low-key presentation than on gawdy/over-busy presentation for apparel. I much prefer the worn-looking retro t-shirts that Junkfood puts out to the splash-page shirts that I'm finding at Target and Kohl's (talking mostly superhero apparel here). The shirts just look classier and I usually get a lot of good feedback on them - the flashier ones from Target tend to make me feel like a comic nerd.
