I love the card art. Great stuff.
Equal mix the 12" box art and 25th card size. Sunbow_Joe84: I'll be getting the land joe for sure. It'll look awesome displayed next to my 12'' Original Joe. Troynos: I think Dr. Venom will be the most sought after one. Sunbow_Joe84: Quote:

The whole concept is awesome. CliffSteele: Everybody make sure and order these so we might get a 2nd wave featuring the Black Adventurer, the Sea Adventurer, Bullet-Man, and Mike Powers! (You can grab an old school He-Man figure at home to be the Invader! haha) Starfighter: Quote:

so how does it work... attaining these at con? Troynos: I believe they'll be online orders like the Falcon/Airtight/Outback/etc.. last year. Gyre-Viper: Quote:

ah ok thanks Scoop: Does anyone find it strange that they are not using O-ring styled figures for these?
By the way are these the first Club exclusives to fully use the 25th style articulation?
I know that they had that black hooded Cobra Commander, but I don't think he was fully a 25th style figure. His arms and head seemed to be, but the rest of him was made up of the "new sculpt" (Valor Vs. Venom, Spy Troops, DTC) style. Troynos: Not strange at all. I'm glad they're 25th/ME and not O-Ring. KingStalin: Dr. Venom will finally be coming home! So excited! Blade: must.....have....ADVENTURE TEAM!!!!! Jay West: Quote:

Well, the entire Con set was 25th last year. Con sets are club exclusives. The black hooded Cobra Commander you are referring to was a cancelled new sculpt figure that the club got the rights to.
No I don't find it strange at all. The 25th style is very popular in the community. They should make some to cater to the 25th/ME/ROC fans. I'll rejoin the club for these. THE RED SHADOWS: its nice that the club can offer something for everyone
there is the 12 inch stuff ( not my cup of tea)
then there is the oring stuff ( cool with me )
then there is the 25th style stuff, ( again cool with me )
there is even a comic! so ya Its nice they can offer something for everyone t34bag: Quote:

Equal mix the 12" box art and 25th card size. | order them? when has there ever been left overs of great figures after the cons over? I really hope there are extras.
I for one will be a little upset if these are all gone after the con is over. I "hate" (I know that's a strong word) when the club takes the figures we want and makes them limited run con exclusives... it just sucks plain and simple :(
here's hoping Firefly77: That's freakin' awesome. I hope they're 25th stylee! turner: I'm excited about the venom in particular, but I want to open one, not have to pay so much that I can't do that. Shogi: Quote:

here's hoping | Well for one, these are NOT Convention items.
Remember the Moth sets that have been in the club's store for two or more years or the cancelled DTC wave that's been in the club store for a year now? That's the type of club items these are. They are Club exclusives that just happen to debut at the convention. I'm willing to bet there will be more of these than there are of any convention item.
Also, It'd be great if people would click on links and read what the club has written, such as this little gem: (This isn't just directed toward you, I've seen many questions in this thread that could be answered if people clicked the link and read the info for themselves) Quote: |
PRE-ORDERS will be available soon at the Club Store!
|
Upset about Convention items being sold out and not getting the Adventure Team sets have nothing to do with each other. It appears you will be able to pre-order all of these items before the convention. You don't even have to go to the con nor even get dressed to buy these figures! ero: Quote:

Me too! So cool. Even more incentive to build a custom Kwinn from the TRU Doc so they can battle! wheeljaxx: i'm not a club member, but these will be at the con for everyone to buy? yes?
i'm in teh tour group and the class so i get early pick up, and i can just jump into the souvenir/ club store line right away on opening day if it's anything like BOTCON 2007 was.
i'd love a set, but i'm not a club member Acrizer: I am supremely jazzed over these and moreso that they are 25th style (they've done an O ring set before, anyway).
From pix we've seen, two more are coming with vehicles.
When they are available, I will rank-up in the club and order immediately. I'm usually an opener, but this is some great card art. I'll want two Quote:

I haven't worn clothes in three years and I sure aint gonna start any time soon! DaSmokeEater: I'm really looking forward to these! arashikage tat: wow the card art on that is worth it all by itself Sunbow_Joe84: It'd be pretty cool if there an Adventure Team Comic. Sunbow_Joe84: I just want to read about joe colton in his prime. have them as a black ops teams. an early G.I. Joe team. Fierce Krypton: prob gonna be stupid expensive. Morgan4242: What will these cost?
$20 each if I buy the membership
$40 each if not?
I would love to have all of these...but the price will really kill me. alphadog: i agree dr venom will be the hardest one to get, i wonder if they are going to make kwinn??? Shogi: Quote:

I would love to have all of these...but the price will really kill me. | Probably more expensive, again, you guys really need to READ the article the club posted about these. They come in an Adventure Team crate with a carded figure and a vehicle. I'm willing to bet the cheapest price for these will be around $40 (rough estimate of $20 for the figure and $20 for the vehicle)
The Dr. Venom set may even be more expensive since it includes the man eating plant, Dr. Venom and AT Commander Xsoldier: The Land Adventurer art reminds me of Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder. Nirvana: Quote:
Originally Posted by Shogi Probably more expensive, again, you guys really need to READ the article the club posted about these. | Silly Shogi, people don't READ any more. They just yell at the screen until it tells them what they want to know. ;) CdtWeasel: Cool, so these will be like $5 each right. (I've been screaming but this screen dont tell me nothing yet) Nirvana: Quote:

($40 each doesn't sound far off.) t34bag: Quote:

You don't even have to go to the con nor even get dressed to buy these figures! | WELL THAT"S VERY COOL It said they will debut at the con I took that as they were con sets. my bad and I've never been more happy to be wrong Fast_Draw: Cool, but probably way out of my price range :( The Mad Bubbler: My guess is, they'll sell all 4 as a set, because they know how much-more popular Dr. Venom will be. Overall, I'm really looking forward to all of these. Quartermaine: As I have posted before, I grew up playing with the 12" joes as they transitioned to the AT. I started buying little Joes the very night my son was born (1988) only because of nostalgia and that I wanted to play with them (with my son too, of course). So I am pleased we can buy them through the club. Most likely, there will be two prices: one for members and one for non-members. I agree that it would be a good thing for a lot of people to buy them, so we can see the rest of the team (at least the sea adventurer and the african-american adventurer). I would love to have some of the adventure playsets, especially the mummy's tomb and the arctic dog sled, both of which I had as a pup. Also, I think that one-man god-awful helicopter would be a must. And lets go for broke: the mobile command center vehicle thingee was so cool. Gotta have that.
If I buy nothing else this year, I must have these. Satanic Viper: Now those are cool! See Hasbro. You can do good! Classic art WITH the ARAH styled logo, art that has nostalgia too it. Well done
Now give me ALL of those Resolute 7 pack figures released as 14 separate single packs in the same style like the 3 single packs that exist now!
