The New Jersey Collectors Convention is proud to announce that Boss Fight Studio will be attending the August 18th, 2013 NJCC toy show! Boss Fight is comprised of several former Hasbro designers and a sculptor who all worked on fan-favorite action figure lines like G.I. Joe, Star Wars and Marvel Universe.
It was also recently revealed (via their Facebook page, Boss Fight Studio) that Boss Fight was the studio behind several of the beautifully sculpted heads for the G.I. Joe FSS 2.0 that we have all been drooling over!!!
Designers Andrew Franks, Erik Arana, Catrina Cerise-Arana, and sculptor Dave Proctor will be on hand to meet fans and do some sketches. Don’t miss this chance to meet these former Hasbro Artists in their first public appearance as Boss Fight Studios!!!

Are you ready to join the Dark Side? the next New Jersey Collectors Con will be held on August 18th, 2013 – You herd it right, we are having a Summer Event. The theme of this show will be “World At War” featuring a very cool marketing campaign of unlikely Enemies & Allies with all of the Toy Brands we have come to love as collectors.
We will also be reaching out to more Star Wars and Marvel Collectors at the Next NJCC summer event, while keeping our already awesome Transformers and G.I.Joe focus. This will be reflected in both extra door prizes, above and beyond what we normally do, including THREE Mega Door Prizes. Over the next few weeks we will be announcing our special events and our guest list. We plan on making this the best NJCC to date, and hope this will make up for the lack of a Fall show that will be moving to Tampa Bay, Florida. We are not quite ready to reveal details of that event yet, but when we do we hope you will join is for the “Ride”.

The voice of Rodimus Prime and Hot Rod in the Transformers Generation 1 cartoon; he is known to GIJOE fans as the voice of Serpentor. Mr. Gautier will be taking part in a Q&A panel and autograph session with the attendees at the July 28th event.
The 2013 Canadian Collectible Toy Expo will return to the Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre – 6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario on July 28th.
The show features the huge selection of vintage 80s toys and all the latest releases from today that you have come to expect such as Transformers (vintage and Japanese imports), Star Wars (new and vintage), GIJoe (vintage and modern), Masters of the Universe (vintage and modern), Super Heroes (Marvel Universe/Legends, DC Universe etc), Wrestling, and tons of other Action Figures and collectibles.

Today, Hasbro President and CEO; Brian Goldner presented at the Barclays 2013 Retail and Consumer Discretionary Conference. G. I. Joe Brand was only mentioned once but it gave a clear understanding why G. I. Joe: Renegades was made in the first place.
During the Q&A Session a question was asked about next movies and Television shows.
Answer: "What we are really seeing in Boys Action [Category] is that we are seeing a stair-step in building a brand over time. 1st movie get you to a certain spot and if you have television [shows] in the following year, the brand doesn’t trench back to the level that was prior to the movie and then you can stair-step upwards over time. Between Hasbro’s brands like Transformers, G. I. Joe or Marvel, Lucas brands, we can imagine that happens well."
Hopefully, we might see a new Animated TV Series soon... but we can't count our chickens before they hatch after-all.

We are just a few short days away from the Spring NJCC 2013 New Jersey Collectors Con. You have seen the mock-up for Salvo, but now we have our first "teaser image" of the finished custom giveaway for this years show. The full photo shoot and information will be posted up tomorrow.

Here at New Jersey Collectors Con the focus is on Collecting Action Figures! There are many other options for fans to attend shows but we like to think we present a unique event with the best toy dealers on the East Coast. Because our event is focused on the Toy Collector, we wanted to give back to the fans of our show by releasing the door prize schedule and the Mega Door Prize for the April 28th, 2013 Spring NJCC.

For those of you who will be heading out next week to the April 28th, New Jersey Collectors Con, we have a special display of G.I.Joe History heading out to us in the form of Joe Declassified. For those of you who have never seen their booth presentation, you're in for a real treat.
In addition to publishing a newsletter, they have a “Traveling Booth” display that gets set up at Joe Conventions. Most of what is displayed is one-of-a-kind items, along with historic art, and unproduced and pre-production G.I.Joe items from all eras of G.I.Joe collecting.

Dan started his career as a fan artist, creating commissioned drawings of Transformers characters and action scenes. He gained fame in the community, and has since become part of the creative team for the new Fun Publications-run Fan Club and conventions, illustrating and plotting Club & BotCon comics as well as designing heads and character mock-ups for exclusive toys.

Salvo is the G.I. Joe Team's Anti-Armor Trooper. His real name is David K. Hasle, and he was born in Arlington, Virginia. Salvo was first released as an action figure in 1990 with the t-shirt slogan 'The Right of Might'.

We have posted up another round of Night Force "Glow In The Dark" features from this years JoeCon box set and exclusives. I don't think a lot of people realize that Chuckles shirt has this effect, as well as some of the gear in the box set. I herd a rumor at JoeCon 2013 that Lady Jaye's Night Force logo on her hat should glow, but I could not get that effect to work on any of mine.

Joecon 2013 is over but we still have some awesome things to show you. One of those things was the premiere of an ongoing project being curated by Kevin Watts, long time Joe fan, collector and customizer. That project's name is the canvHISS Project.
Inspired by similar themes in the art world, it aims to use the classic G.I. Joe H.I.S.S. Tank toy as a blank canvas for artists to go nuts on. Anything goes. And as you will see, anything went.
