With JoeCon 2012 quickly approaching, the GIJOE Collectors Club have posted up the Brochure for New Orleans! We have taken the time to point out some highlights, but we highly recommend following the link at the bottom of the story, to read the full Brochure for New Orleans.

The General’s Package $315 - Adventure Team Heavy Weapons: Last Man Standing boxed set
AH Golden Ticket (limited to 75 packages) Cost is an additional $300 added to American Hero’s or General’s packages (i.e. GIJCC Member Prices: AH Golden Ticket total $645, Gen Golden Ticket total $615). You must be a GIJCC Member for this upgrade.
The Oktober Guard - Operation Bear Trap is an edition of only 600 sets and the AT Heavy Weapons Last Man Standing is limited to only 250 sets!
G.I. Joe: Retaliation Private Screening
Share the experience of seeing G.I. Joe on the big screen with other die-hard G.I. Joe fans and join us Friday morning for a screening of G.I. Joe: Retaliation! We will be departing at 9:30 am for our 10:30 exclusive JoeCon screening at a local movie theater. Show your G.I. Joe pride by wearing your Ninja or other G.I. Joe character costume to the screening, as we prepare to invade New Orleans! Cost includes movie and transportation to and from the theater. Attendees will also receive a full-size G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie poster from Paramount Pictures.
Cost is $29.
G.I. Joe Customizing Class
Want to learn how to customize your G.I. Joe figures? Sign up for the customizing class taught by Hasbro designer, John Warden! This one day class (Thursday, 9 am-5 pm) will teach you beginning and intermediate techniques for customizing Hasbro’s 25th Anniversary style figures. Class is limited to 30 participants.
Cost is $65.

This past weekend the NJCC 2012 spring event took place with great success! We wanted to thanks all the fans and dealers who attended the show and made it an event to remember. On hand to celebrate the HAZARD HISS Tanks, Kevin Watts built this one of a kind Cobra Compund Z Laboratory Playset! Special thanks and props go out to his incredible work on this project.

HISS TANK (Hazardous Armament Zombie Assault Research Division) will include a remolded Compond Z Cannon with canister insert to hold the Compond Z cartridge, and Flame Thrower. Also include will be a remolded Armored Canopy and a cool assortment of extra weapons and gear, including a cardboard Dio Background.
The NJCC 2012 H.A.Z.A.R.D. HISS TANK will be given away at random via raffle tickets, and is NOT FOR SALE. Anybody who attends NJCC 2012 at early admission will receive 4 tickets for door prizes, and general admission will receive 1 ticket. One H.A.Z.A.R.D. HISS TANK will be given away per hour.

Here at New Jersey Collectors Con the focus is on Collecting Action Figures! There are many other options for fans to attend shows but we like to think we present a unique event with the best toy dealers on the East Coast. Because our event is focused on the Toy Collector, we wanted to give back to the fans of our show by releasing the door prize schedule and the Mega Door Prize for the May 6th, 2012 NJCC Attack of the Toys!

Dan started his Transformers career as a fan artist, creating commissioned drawings of Transformers characters and action scenes. He gained fame in the community, and has since become part of the creative team for the new Fun Publications-run Fan Club and conventions, illustrating and plotting Club & BotCon comics as well as designing heads and character mock-ups for exclusive toys.

Looks like those of you who have been voting hard for the Oktober Guard in GIJOE March Madness, won't need to wait long to see these figures produced.
The Oktober Guard often operates internationally, protecting and promoting Soviet and Warsaw Pact interests. Despite the fact their respective countries are rivals with the United States during the Cold War, the members of the Oktober Guard are never portrayed as evil, but as military professionals doing their job and serving their country. Their missions often put them at odds with G.I. Joe, but opposing Cobra is a major objective for the squad, and when the situation arises, they often find themselves temporarily allied with the Joes against a common foe.
