Oritoy Acid Rain Agurts Infantry Images Now Online

Augurts-Infantry-01---Hisstank
Thanks to our friend Mr. Kit Lau and our friends at Oritoy, we now have even new images of the upcoming Agurts Infantry from the Acid Rain World line of 1/18th Military Mecha!

These new trooper types fall underneath the 88 division, also know as the "Sand" or "Desert" Division. These figures should be coming out soon, so until then, join us after the break to discuss these and other Acid Rain offerings.

man that's rad-tacular. however, if that's a 7-pack I'm in, but please let the price be reasonable. $12 a figure range?, please? thank you?
Snakeeyesisposh:
They will be $20 or more. The driver alone had cost 20 dollars.

Sorry brother, but these are typically $20 a pop. Well worth it though, IMO.
USAgent:
I could see investing $100 in a small squad to go with my custom Warhammer 40k Commissar. Very cool looking.
Dragasses:
yeah, I was hoping we would get a solid if we bought them in bulk.

consarnit. may perhaps $14 a pop?...I'm going to be disappointed.

still gimme.

There's no news on price nor release date yet, these are basically the last color prototypes before they head off into production (as I understand it.).
We don't know if the pack will be 7 troopers, or just 1 trooper with all the weapons either.

I'm hoping for a minimum squad of 5 in a box.

Price will probably be around $18-$20 per figure but that is a guesstimate on my part.
jestermon:
So they cost what Joes are going for these days and are as hard to find ha.
ilzuccone:
needs more neon
Enigmatic:
I'm really rooting for a single guy with many weapons, it'll remind me of POC.

But if it's a pack, I wouldn't mind splitting a set.

Not really. Considering BBTS, and other foreign e-tailers had them up for pre-order. If you lived near Asia, I'm sure you can walk in and buy them at toy specialty shops.
volleydan:
These are neat toys....but seeing as how they aren't Joes, why are they listed in the "GI Joe news" section?
hawkeyes444:
There goes another $100 (minimum) out of my wallet. Sweet!
fireflyguy:
I'm in. I love the look. I preordered the other one, and I'll preorder these. I'd love to get the vehicles, but they are definitely outta my price range.

Probably because a) they're incredibly compatible with Joes and b)there is no Gi Joe news.
TheRealDubya:
I think they're kinda junky looking.

*grimaces, backs away slowly*

No actual real Joes to talk about, so why not? Though I do find it funny these figures are getting so much attention and the lost planet ones get almost zero.

What Lost Planet ones? I agree theses still have not grown on me, their too skinny and the vehicles too boxy...just not my cup of tea. But lost planet scale joes might!

On the compatibility with joes, are there any customs showing the parts work as easily as joe to joe? If their parts can be transplanted onto joe parts they might be ok, but their base articulation is wonky and bulbous...

Yeah, I guess he missed that Hasbro isn't making any more Joes ha.

The article is Front Paged under "Compatible Military". As it's a FP post, it gets linked back in this forum. The line has it's own thread underneath the "Toys" Forum.

I don't follow LP so I don't report on them. That's not to say it isn't a kick @ss linet hough. If you'd like to begin gathering all pertinent news, then by all means, go for it! Just let me/us know where you obtained the info and where to link back to.

I get all my info from Toyark (part of your network?) and here are a couple of links to their latest posts...

Lost Planet PTX-140R Hardballer Mech - The Toyark - News

Lost Planet 2014 Wave 1 - 3 3/4ths Figures & Vehicles - The Toyark - News

The company is called Toy Notch and this is their Facebook page (which gets updated the most)...

Lost Planet 2014 Wave 1 - 3 3/4ths Figures & Vehicles - The Toyark - News

And their webpage which barely get updated at all...

Toy Notch - Home

Hope that helps.

Wow r3v3n63, that is beyond awesome/helpful. Thanks! As for ToyArk, Ha! They're being covered "right next door" and I hadn't a clue. Go figure, lol.

Are there any particulars from the line that you all would like for us to cover and/or focus on, or do you just anything we can dig up on the line?
cobraEdaco:
Another mech toyline...? My bank account is not happy right now!
wrw311:
This line keeps getting better and better. I wish bbts would ship my wave 1 guys already!
sithewok:
I agree that I'd like to see more coverage of the Lost Planet line. I'm more excited for them than I am for the Acid Rain line, honestly.
Konigstiger:
Nothing to say about the Lost Planet line. Unlike Toy Notch, Ori Toy is actually releasing info and photos of what they're doing. That could be because this is a Capcom-owned IP, and they're known to be a pain in the ass to deal with.

We're still 2 months at the earliest from any Lost Planet product release, so there's plenty of time for them to release something to stir up hype and discussion.

Anyhoo, to the figures that matter. Really wish they would have done these guys in the 2-pack instead of the vehicle operator Sol Commander.

The real reason is that these toys are out - or rather the line has started and is being sold. People have them in hand, and we are being fed news about upcoming things in the line.

Lost planet has been dead in the water since the SDCC announcement - at least from anything new as a standpoint.

I'm sure news for Lost Planet will pick up once the line actually gets out to the people.
saltymarine:
Wow, these are cool, somebody should do a custom contest of an Acid Rain theme, there goes another $100.00 LOL !!

Speaking of which, just added this guy and backstory to the FB page:

The Nomad:

The Nomad is a mysterious warrior who appears unbidden when all hope seems lost, striding forth from the shadows to bring retribution and death. Once his bloody work is complete he vanishes into myth once more.
He is a legend, whispered by in secret of superstitious soldiers, say his name too loud, or stray to much from your mission and he might appear to deal with you.
The Nomad doesn't seem to be bound by geographic territory or any real physical limits of distance, always appearing where he seems to be needed most and always when the battle seems lost, he changes the tide almost singlehandedly, but at what cost? Soldiers who have seen him appear almost to have lost their souls. These are the whispered half truths between soldiers about The Nomad.

He will save the day, but the price will never be paid in full.
A curse and a hero.
