My opinion is that this book contains the prequel comics from G. I. Joe : Rise Of Cobra. Hold on, wait... Flint? Nah! Not a movie book then.

Very similar to Transformers: Tales Of The Fallen.
hantei40:
interesting.
ChaplainAsst:
There was a pretty long short story from this collection in the recent Cobra special #2. Was a good read.
rip_cord:
i might have to pick this up?

thanks for the heads up.
Trooper13:
Aw, crap! Ya know I totally forgot to go back and read that prose work in the back of the second Cobra Special. (Which was awesome, btw.) I got myself all wrapped up in the LeCarre classic "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy". I'll hav e to make time to go back and read it this weekend. If I like it, I'll definitely pick this up.

I've been thinking that someone should do a series of Novels, or Novellas centered around the Crimson Guard. Each book could be titled "Fred (insert roman numeral)" and be the story of that Fred's infiltration of our society. His cover, and how he completes his mission. Hell, if I ever stop reading, and start writing maybe I'll submit some. lol

Not sure about that. I was referring to the second Cobra Special, feature Erica LeTienne aka Chameleon. In the back of that comic, there is the preview of the prose.

Ohh... ok. Thanks. Dont have a comic store anywhere near me, so I only get to buy the collections.

Looking forward to this. It has to be better than the novellas released in the 80's...
Derek2783:
Is this supposed to be for kids or adults?
Grunt1162:
I'm really pumped about this. GIJoe could really use novels to expand past being a toyline.

And they still didn't fix that typo in the description, heh.

Hope the audiobook is good.

lol. How very true. And to answer the question in a more serious way, this is aimed at adults as far as we know.
Derek2783:
Let's hope so. Serious, well written novellas about GI Joe would be awesome.
nickvree:
a GI Joe book... awesome! I REALLY enjoyed the movie prequel, and think that Joe translates well to the written page (with the right author).
Snake Shadow09:
is that artwork new or re-used?
