I know that many of us absolutely love G.I.Joe artwork. So, it’s safe to say that many of you are familiar with the artwork of Mr.Robert Atkins. Well, in case you weren’t aware, Robert has been posting G.I.Joe sketches on his Offical Blog as part of his Joe-A-Day Sketch challenge!
What else is really cool is that not only is the original artwork posted up, but the full color versions are also available for your viewing pleasure! We’ve mirrored a couple of the black and white sketches here – Destro, Resolute Snake Eyes and Wet-Suit, but with that said, you should definitely check out the Robert’s blog for all of the Joe-A-Day submissions posted up so far! Each colored image will be available as a print and Robert’s sketchbooks are for sale as well, with all proceeds going to support Toys for Tots this Christmas! The donation to Toys For Tots will be made on December 16th, so if you’re interested in owning a cool piece of art and helping kids in need, then get to shopping!
What are your thoughts on Robert’s work? Also, what do you think about the sketches – Do you prefer black and white or the full color version? Are you picking any up for yourself? Talk about it after the break!

Robert Atkins has been posting up a "Joe-A-Day" G.I.Joe Sketch on his Offical Blog and will be offering the work (either black & white, color or both) to those interested. All proceeds will benefit toys for tots!
I've always loved Roberts work. What about you?

Thanks for the post! I've had a lot of great support so far on the blog and the sketch event raising over $100 for toys for tots already. I'll be posting pictures of the haul of toys before I take them to donate on the 16th. The sketch event will continue afterwards, and sales will continued to be donated to a worthy charity. I wouldn't mind some suggestions if anyone has them.
But now is a great time to get my GI JOE sketchbook, it has over 60 black and white GI JOE specific sketches. $15 total including shipping and signed to you. I mail them out the day after you've sent over payment!
Thanks again, I've always appreciated the kind words and support from all the HISSTANK forum members!

Just an update, the sketch a day is still going strong, Again thanks for all the support!
Over the first 2 weeks of the event I was able to raise $600 for the Toys for Tots and dropped off a load of toys. You can see here:

Just scroll down to Dec. 15th's post. I know a lot of that came from Joe fans from HissTank and other sites, so thanks again!
Right now I'm showing artwork that I did for the GI Joe Battleground game and other current commission work.
IIIzoeIII - that Arctic SE came from that run of artwork for the game. Everything I've been posting is at a different level of finish based on if the art was production art, or just convention sketches or commissions.

I'll make sure to share an image or two the minute my sketchbook gets here. Can't wait!
