G.I. Joe Hasbro Q&A 2009 Round 1

1. What's the word on G.I. Joe Resolute? Every single fan of G.I. Joe has
been demanding an answer for months now. When can we expect to see more
Resolute figures,vehicles and most importantly ANIMATION?

1a. You can find GI Joe Resolute figures on shelf now. The animation plan is
being finalized and we are hoping to make an announcement soon. Sorry we
cannot provide more information but we do not have any new information to
share at this time.


2. Are we going to see any G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra Comic Packs and can you name a few if these are in the works?

2a. There are currently no plans for this, but it is something we have
discussed for 2010 or 2011.

3. Will there be a Rise of Cobra pre-view figure like Protoform Transformer Optimus Prime and Starscream before the main Movie Line hits?

3a. Yes, we will offer the MARS Trooper 3-pack exclusively online and before
the movie product is available.

What was that???? The questions and answers were very vague and focussed on the movie, which many of us are going to buy very little from.

I really hoping for a Stephen Colbert-esque "nailed 'em" question. :(

So now Hasbro is saying there may be movie line stuff coming out until 2011? Looks like the 25th/Modern line might be done altogether or on hold until I fart dust now. I had heard that they(Paramount/Hasbro) want to make G.I.Joe into a trilogy just like the Transformers, does their(Hasbro's) response to The Rise of Cobra comic packs in 2010-2011 maybe hint at a part 2 movie coming in the near future?

Well of course. If the movie line sells well the movie line will continue to rule the market, especially if it outperforms the 25th or modern era line. Kind of a no brainer here.

I think most of us figured this out months ago. There were way better questions posted then this one.

I'm glad to see the Resolute question, but I like how Hasbro has avoided the answer on every site. They have to have more of an idea what is going on with Resolute then what they are willing to admit.

I agree, there are a lot of other questions that could have been asked, but I am not suprised these got asked.

At least it wasn't about getting more Dreadnoks. Something we loudly suggested last year was a cooperation between the sites to get more questions asked. I'm glad to see that hasn't happened for the most part. I mean heck, the Canadian site got three good questions in, granted they were all about distribution, but I know for a fact that there's six threads on this site wondering if the fifth DVD pack is going to be released in better quantity in the US.

i agree arch, that we do, but we aint the ones who ok what's asked. out of all the q's asked in those threads, it seems the weakest ones are to be asked! an it's whoever that ok's em to be asked! not the ppl , it's the wizard behind the curtain!!

i went through most of the other sites q+a's and again, our questions suck.

We were told in the last QnA threaD THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO VOTE FOR THE QUESTIONS......Who in the hell asked those questions?????

Consider it lucky that we are got 3 questions answered. Hasbro only answered 2 questions on all of the Transformers sites.

I have not been one to argue or complain. but this was completely worthless.. by both our questions and answers. I'm sorry, but i just jumped on the bandwagon of Let the Rise Of Cobra figures shelf-warm and fail..2011?? WTF! I believe it is now our duty to avoid Rise of Cobra; its success = no more 25th?

Y'know, sometimes when someone says "there's no information"....there really ISN'T any information.

As was noted in another thread, if Hasbro gave a solid answer to something and then for one reason or another it got delayed, cancelled, or otherwise messed with, all the same people complaining about "vague answers" would be screaming to the high heavens, "ZOMG HASBLOW LIED TO US!"

If something isn't reasonably well "locked in" then why are they going to give potentially false information out? If "Resolute" doesn't have a distributor yet...how are they going to know when it's coming?

I suggest Hasbro immediately stop all Q&As. No one will ever be happy with their answers, so why bother?

Anyway...interesting that the MARS Trooper 3-pack is online...I thought for sure that'd be in stores. It really IS going to be a drought between now and July unless there's a WHOLE lot of stockpile backed up in the distribution centers...hopefully stockpile that includes the Best of the 80's DVD pack somewhere.

As for the success of the movie line...the retailers have probably already put in orders for more G.I. Joe movie product for this year than they have in both years of 25A/Modern-Era combined.

got me smm i remember i asked what kinda paint do they use, cus it seems to be awesome! but i figured that q wouldnt make it anyway, it probably contains lead, an it's made in china, so it most likely contains lead, an here we are in our houses dremelin the shit out of em, , soon gonna be like van gogh all disillusioned tryin to sever our ears off cus our girls wont listen to us!! then someone will finally catch on, damn all these dudes that went nuts customized gi joe figures lol

I wonder if our only hope will be resolute now. if they continued that, and maybe threw in a bone or two of 25th homages now and then to keep us happy.

I think the reason Resolute got held back is so they could redo the animation to make them look like the movie Joes......its a Joke really, but not so far from the truth....
