Tomorrow brings us 3 new issues to pick up from IDW!
GI Joe #5
HOMEFRONT reaches its explosive conclusion-and we do mean explosive: If BARONESS can't hold the city of Warrenton, no one will! And the fate of the entire G.I. JOE team rests in the hands of its newest -- and most inexperienced- member, HASHTAG. What will she decide?
Plus: The return of a fan-favorite Cobra character YOU'VE been clamoring for since he first appeared!
GI Joe A Real American Hero #191
G.I. JOE goes to the jungle! LADY JAYE's team is led into the jungles of southeast Asia for a mission that will pit G.I. JOE against an enemy they thought long gone: MAJOR BLUDD! Will fortune smile on LADY JAYE and her team or will the ruthless mercenary gain the upper hand? It's kill or be killed in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #191!
GI Joe Cobra Files #3
SNAKES AND TIGERS! FLINT's plan to trap the team's new, elusive enemy may be crazy enough to work: offering up a target too irresistible to pass up, he thinks they can draw their opponents out. But when things start going south-fast-it's up to CHAMELEON to salvage the mission. Will she put the team in danger in order finish the job?
Interestingly enough, all of the figures are shown with blank stands(seems like the same stands that came with the Amazon 4 pack) while Storm Shadow is pictured with an alternate unmasked head from the Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow figure. With these figures appearing up for auction now, it might not be much longer before these arrive to retailers in the US. Read on to check out the new images!
EDIT: An auction for Ultimate Snake Eyes has turned up, images have been attached! It appears that the head sculpt used is from the GI Joe Retaliation Ninja Duel Snake Eyes in lieu of the new head sculpt that was shown previously at JoeCon/Toy Fair.

Thanks to HISSTANK.com board member GILTYONE for posting up images of his COMBAT MEDIC DOC custom. Graduated from Harvard Medical School, completed residency at Johns Hopkins. Hoped for a guarantee of a G.I. Joe assignment upon enlistment. Told flatly that the Army made no such deals. Doc enlisted anyway and achieved his goal through ordinary channels. Graduated Airborne School, Mountaineering School, and Desert Training Unit.
We just received a Press Release from Hasbro regarding their presence at the International Licensing Expo 2013 (June 18th to June 20th). In the release there is zero mention of G.I. Joe.
According to the PR, the following Hasbro Brands will "take center stage" at the International Licensing Expo 2013:
Transformers
My Little Pony
Littlest Pet Shop
Nerf
Play-Doh
Magic: The Gathering
Monopoly
Furby
TRANSFORMERS
Hasbro's iconic TRANSFORMERS brand has become one of the most successful brand franchises of the 21st century and features the heroic AUTOBOTS and the villainous DECEPTICONS engaged in an epic battle on multiple storytelling platforms, including film, television, digital gaming, publishing and theme parks. Hasbro and its licensees provide the avid TRANSFORMERS fan base with high value, age-appropriate merchandise including digital gaming, toys, apparel, sporting goods and more. DeNA and Hasbro recently announced the launch of TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS, an action card battle game based on the TRANSFORMERS franchise, which is now available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and on Google Play for Android devices. TRANSFORMERS: The Ride - 3D, currently open in Singapore and Hollywood, will officially open on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Universal Studios Orlando. The thrill ride is a mind-blowing, action-packed experience that pushes the limits of technology to place guests in the middle of a larger-than-life battle between the AUTOBOTS and the DECEPTICONS.
In 2014 Paramount Pictures will release the fourth installment of the hit "TRANSFORMERS" movie series on June 27th. Based on the Hasbro property, "TRANSFORMERS 4" is directed by Michael Bay and re-unites the filmmaking team from the hit franchise featuring new AUTOBOTS, DECEPTICONS and cast members including actors Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Li Bingbing and Sophia Myles.

Scalping, in the context of toy collecting, refers to the practice of deliberately buying multiples of the same toy with the intention of creating an artificial scarcity. Subsequently, the scalper will sell the toys again for a price much higher than the original store price.

Recently HISS Tank.com had a chance to sit down with well know author Mark Bellomo to discuss his work on G.I. Joe: The Complete Collection, the full run of original Real American Hero, Special Missions, and Yearbook tales, placed in proper reading order and collected in handsome hardcover volumes.
"I was eleven years old when G.I. Joe #1 was released, and I remember reading and re-reading and re-re-reading the wonderfully oversized Treasury Edition reprint of #1 at least 500 times until the pages fell apart in my hands; this is NO exaggeration. I have memorized nearly every word of the first issue. The comic speaks to me like no other before or since; I therefore have a vested interest in seeing this project succeed."

Many of you came onto this site with the launch of the GI Joe 25th Anniversary toyline. However before that, there were a few incarnations of GI Joe that you might not have known about, such as GI Joe Valor Vs Venom.
There was an abundance of ninjas towards the later half of VvV, and today we look at a custom take on 1 particular ninja. Bad Sociologist(whose paint apps are often said to be very very similar to production quality, as if painted by Hasbro themselves), has posted a few images of his Custom Tiger Claw 2.0. Tiger Claw was Snake Eyes' 2nd apprentice from the "new sculpt"(2002-06) era of 3-3/4" figures. Tiger Claw was only sold in a Target exclusive Ninja Battle set. Hasbro has yet to make a new, modernized version..
...so it's nice to see a nod to the VvV days, especially to 1 of the more obscure ninjas. Read on to check out Bad Sociologist's Custom Tiger Claw 2.0!
