Factory of GI Joe A Real American Hero the movie! The 1987 animated movie features the introduction of the notorious Cobra La, but now you can see them remastered in high definition!

Q) - The POC Duke has a new head sculpt that is distinctively different from the ROC and 25th/ME Duke. What was the inspiration for this sculpt and is this the version that we should expect with future Duke figures?
A) - This sculpt was inspired by Resolute, Classic and Valor vs. Venom. This head will be the head used for all Duke POC figures.
Q) - Are the weapons from the RHINO(and other DTC vehicles) and upcoming mech suits compatible with the modular weapons ports on the new HISS TANK?
A) - Some of the weapons are interchangeable, but because the R.H.I.N.O. is an older design they may not fit perfectly.
Q) - Is the Pursuit of Cobra line limited to American markets, or will it be marketed internationally like the Rise of Cobra line?
A) - The Pursuit of Cobra line is offered to all markets, but listings are dependent on retailers.

He is impressed by the artwork for this issue by Klaus Sherwinski, whom you might be familiar with from his work on IDW's Transformers books. He also states that Tom Feister has provided an amazing cover(1 of 2, the cover shown here is by Sherwinski) as well.

Joe A Real American Hero: The Movie by Shout! Factory! The original movie by Sunbow will finally make it's way to collector's collections in remastered form, later this summer.
Prices are $11.99 & $15.99 respectively. The long awaited release will be available on July 27th!

Recently Sideshow Collectibles has let out exciting news for their 12" GI Joe line! 1st up, we get a sneak peek at the Crimson Guard, and more information on it:
Q: When can we expect a 12-inch Cobra Crimson Guard?
A: You’ll see the Crimson Guard appear in a diorama first, but the CG will appear in the 12-inch line at some point in the future.
We also get more elaboration on the upcoming Firefly, and news on the new Snake Eyes figure as well as Snow Job!
Q: Will G.I. Joe 12-inch Snake Eyes get a re-release with an improved, beefier body? The Prometheus body that was used gave Snake Eyes a skinnier frame and some people changed their minds from buying this figure because of that, including myself.
A: Yes, and no. We are developing a new Snake Eyes 12-inch figure, but we haven’t yet decided which version of the Pro body he’ll have. We like that Snake Eyes is a bit less robust than Duke or Flint but agree that he could use a little bit more bulk this time around. This is NOT a re-release of the original Snake Eyes figure – it is an all-new version.
Q: In your latest Q&A about G.I. Joe, you said you are looking into making a Firefly head sculpt with the classic camo pattern as a THRID head. What is the second head that is already being included? There is no info about a second head on his product page. And thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for responding to fans’ responses and even looking at including an unplanned head. Not every company would even bother with looking into it. While I’m very hopeful that the camo head will be included, I’m just glad to hear you looked into it. Thank you!
A: We are indeed working on the camo version of the head. We have paint samples, and we’re fine tuning them to best match the camo colors of the clothing before we reveal it. We made an error when we called it a ‘third’ head – it is in fact the second head – apologies for the confusion, and the original Q&A has been updated!
Q: In the Sideshow Collectibles Catalog Volume 11 that I received with the Sideshow Spooktacular 2009 kit, there’s a nice little write-up on Larry Hama on page 251 regarding G.I. Joe. The page features the covers of a few of the MARVEL Joe Real American Hero series as well as three of the original file cards. Maybe I’m reading into this too much, but the three file cards are Cobra Commander (made into a figure), Storm Shadow (made into a figure), and Snow Job. Is this a potential clue to an upcoming Joe figure? Again, I’m probably reading into it too much, but you guys have been known to leave little clues and teasers. I just found it intriguing that Snow Job would have been one of the file cards featured rather than Snake Eyes or Duke…
A: Good eyes! We are working on designs for our Snow Job figure, but he’s not going to be revealed anytime in the immediate future.
Could the all new Snake Eyes be based on the classic, original V1 commando version?

Knowing is half the battle, and unfortunately for Rise of Cobra, so was a writer's strike. According to IMDB Tatum told the Australian Sun Herald newspaper that:
They just found writers, I just found out. I hope they take their time with it and really get it right because they really had to rush it last time because of the writers' strike. They really want to make it great. And I'm here for them whenever they're ready
Without a writer's strike in the way, will GI Joe 2 be a much better movie than Rise of Cobra?

Thanks to HISS Tank boards member Nordland for checking up on the updates on whether GI Joe has been canceled, or rather, stayed canceled in the UK. If this sounds familiar, we posted something about this back in October. Now Nordland brings us recent information on the status of the GI Joe altogether for the UK:
Thank you for your enquiry regarding our G.I. Joe range.
We can confirm that there are no current plans to release any further G.I. Joe product in the UK during 2010.

According to site sponsor BigBadToyStore, the wave 3 Alpha Vehicles from the Rise of Cobra line have been canceled. The following is in reference to this wave, in an email sent to HISS Tank boards member geordieade:
Hi - Hasbro has just informed us that this item has been cancelled, and as a result they will not be able to fill our orders. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have cancelled all preorders and removed the item from our site.
Considering that some of these toys featured new tooling, could they be repackaged for release under the upcoming Pursuit of Cobra line, or perhaps as store exclusives?
