I actually like some of the stuff in these sets. Although, why does Timber have a hurt paw?

Can't wait for these.

Viper and Baroness are the best figs here, but it's good to see Flint with gloves. Also, Lady J's thicker spear and Stormy's chucks are nice additions.

I like em too, although Id rather have seen THIS Viper be in the 2 pack w/IG trooper...and lose the grey on S.S. ; they finally got the weapons right, along w/the shoulders, but the grey highlights throw it off...and that C.C is ugggg...C.C....lol

I think this Lady J would have been a fantastic figure if they had given her actual, interchangeable spearheads.

Furthermore, why is SE about to shoot him in the head. :(

I guess Hasbro can't decide on which Card Art looks best for Zartan. Trying to shoot, while popping out a deuce is NEVER a good idea......

How are you going to be that observant and miss the fact that Snake Eyes has his gun pointed directly at Timber. I think it's plainly obvious that he shot Timber in the paw as this picture was being taken.

Not for long... as the pic makes us believe, Snake is going to end his misery... ;-) LOL

Of course you would, but then Hasbro wouldn't have an excuse to have you buy an extra (3) figures instead of just the one, being the IG trooper. It's never that easy.

Definitely picking up the Cobra one, it's just as good as the first one. I'm really digging that CC art. I've been trying to budget myself and only buy Cobra, but the Joes are pretty sweet too. Man, these should come with a share of Hasbro stock...

These look good (looking forward to Shipwreck, Baroness and Snake Eyes the most)! BTW, Timber's paw isn't hurt, that's the stance some dog's make when they are hunting or searching and have found something.

nothing in these sets i want except the Viper and SE v.2 (hopefully these end up being close to the Hall of Heroes versions)

still would love to know what the hell they were thinking with that barftastic neon pink Zartan and horrible Flint head ~ why remold it if you are making it worse???

Why oh why did they have to put such an awesome Baroness figure in a 5-pack?!? I just want that figure! Give me single-carded, or at most a 2-pack so I don't have to track down loose versions off ebay. :/

I definitely have to get these, especially the Cobra one since my daughter doesn't like the blue suited Baroness.

That cartoony head sculpt on Snake Eyes is such a POS. If they don't do the obvious fix and put V2 2007 head on this black sculpt in Hall of Heroes I'm going to put the 2007 head on this all black 5 pack body myself. The colors will be off but it will still look awesome as the 2007 head is a very dark grey.

I would say he's getting ready to put him down like Old Yeller.

I think the "hurt paw" is a good touch based on the cartoon series MASS Device. Snake-Eyes rescued him in the woods when he stepped in a bear trap. That is how they met and became friends. Yes, I am a cartoon geek. I like this pack, can't wait to get my hands on them.

I thought he was in an angry, growling pose until someone mention ed it. Didn't Snake Eyes rescue Timber from a bear trap when he first found him? Maybe that explains it.

Also, that Viper has a pretty large helmet, as if there's really a head in there this time.

I want them now, but why does the Viper guy where goggles? Does his helmet protect him? lol

Is that an all new shipwreck? Arms, legs, head all seem different.

And that color scheme looks much better than the DVD pack version on Lady Jaye.

That is an age old conundrum. My belief is that, like a chemical protective mask, one can see OUT of the mask but you can't fit your glasses underneath them. So they make special lenses that go over the mask (in real life, they go under the pro-mask) so you can have your face protected AND have your 20-20 vision!

Why do all the vipers have them, you ask? Cuz they can't see for shit! Hence, they're all horrible shots.

Or, it could be because they just look cool

I should have ordered x2 Cobra sets. I pre-ordered x2 Joe sets and 1 Cobra.

I am very happy with these sets, my only gripe is the constant ebaying/trading of older versions of the core characters. I wish they gave us Duke instead of Hawk. I would love a classic cartoon Duke with fixed arms and not a bright colored outfit like the DVD 5 version. Soon enough I am sure.......

These 5 packs will be a big help with restarting my collection. Tough times require tough messures so my entire collection is going to my son on this cash strapped Christmas. What sucks is yet ANOUTHER CC. The great thing about having so many CC is they are fun to shoot in the backyard with a BB gun. Quality time with the son. lol

I think this is what the pose is supposed to be doing, it's called "pointing" (most dogs do it).

I like to call these Hasbro's "What I've learned since the 25th line began" sets...

These packs are full of all sorts of fixes to fan's complaints with original releases... viper hands, no Shippy/CC fists, short sleeves & gloves on Flint, no flowing mask for CC, no sleeves for SS, more detailed paint apps, best body combinations... This to me is the best proof that Hasbro does listen to fan feedback. I just wish these weren't in cartoonish colors so I could swap out some of the parts more easily.

Anyways, as for the figures: Shipwreck and Hawk are crap. I like the carded versions better. Snake Eyes looks kick ass but like someone said, that head sculpt sucks. We need the wave 1 head in black. I like the Lady Jaye with cleavage better than this one. The colors are better though.

As for Flint, I can't tell from the pic what his head looks like. Its more Frankensteinish but it looks more like the cartoon head than the carded version, which looks more like his 85 toy.

No interest in the Cobra pack. Do like Baroness and Cobra Viper.

No matter how you slice it, it's still 10 figures we already have. Some of those versions can still be found hanging on the pegs, depriving many of newer waves.

Oh, but look, another 5 pack.

Yeah, me wantee. I only wish that they had given Hawk the comic face instead of this face. Hawk is pretty much the only figure without a significant change from it's original release, might have been nice to have that.

I love the Joe pack.........well I just like Snake Eyes. But the other 4 figures ROCK HARD. LJ and Hawk are definitive for me. No need to buy any more of them ever. I'll replace Flint's head with Wave 1 Flint and he will rule, and Shipwrecks body will be great for customs.

I'll not only pass on the Cobra pack, but I'll pass gas on it as well. Baroness is the only one worth buying and I'm not buying a 5 pack just for her.

i'm surprised so many people are so excited about the prospect of spending $50 for ten figures they already have. and only one of these is an army builder, but his chrome face will make the other vipers anyone has look stupid if they're displayed together.

very easy pass. some improvements (notably on Shipwreck and Baroness), but nothing worth buying either pack for.

My only question is since we are getting nothing but re-packs and repaints why can't Hasbro at least give us the Joe and Cobra Music boxes again? How much you wanna bet that they are the same price as the other five backs we got before that did have them?

They changed the characters for the movie. Baroness now wears the hood and blue outfit and hisses while Cobra Commander is the eastern European femme fatale that is in love with Destro. Stupid Paramount.

No one will ever find the cobra pack without a swapped-out viper......... :(

The thing that gets me is, everyone was bitching about a friggin black claw BAT, but 2 5 packs of rehashes are heralded as a stroke of genius on Hasbro's part.

The talk about being a completist? yeah, this is directly aimed at those.

I wonder how many stores are going to order these to begin with as they sat on the previous sets for too long, putting them on clearance.

AAARRRGH!!! Why are Shipwreck's arms so damn puny?!?! It looks like they used the same arms from Lady Jaye! WTF?!?! Like Mutt with the one weird scrawny arm.

And speaking of Lady Jaye... Look at the ankle joints... Just like single pack Ripper. WTF? Way to save money Hasbro. You make me feel oh so special and loved sometimes.

Ok, I'm done with the rant.

Repaints or not, they are the same figures that are already out there. No need to retool figures we just got. Why not spend the resources on NEW figures.

Over half of these are still warming the pegs, do you think a kid gives 2 shits if the belt or hair is the correct tint?

With only 1 troop builder in 1 of these sets, collectors aren't exactly going to snap em up. Plus, everyone here knows they will hit clearance and will wait it out.

I wished they would quit showing pics of that Flagg in the background. It makes my mouth water every time I see it!! We aren't seeing anything with the Joe Headquarters so maybe they are hinting at something for us!!
