| Posted on 06-29-2008 at 01:31 AM by Shin Densetsu | |  | 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe Wave 9 has been released at retail! The first sighting was at Walmart. This wave consists of the long awaited General Hawk, Bazooka, Storm Shadow as Ninja-ku, Snow Serpent, and the B.A.T.(Battle Android Trooper!)

| Jeffrozup: Wave 9 has been spotted in retail here in Ohio. Wal*Mart last night had a case of Wv 5 2008 but the box was crushed on the skid and it was empty.
I don't know if the figures made it to the peg or somebody got to them on the skid. This is the first time in months somebody got to a skid before I had a chance to get there first.

Where I live we never get stuff first and it's usually around the end of the month, so I'm guessing if other places are just starting to get Wave 9, we'll get them around the end of July.
Of course, God knows there's plenty of room for them now. The Wal-Mart down the street from me has, despite ten billion comic packs, ONE 25th Wave 4 COBRA Commander on the pegs. The other Wal-Marts have Wave 4 Duke, Scarlett, Gung-Ho, Roadblock, CC, and Air Trooper with an occasional Cartoon Viper or CC. And TRU has the complementary 2 Buzzers, 2 Hooded CC's, and one Serpentor. Target is Attack of the Cloned Buzzers and 25th Wave 4 CC's. Blueman: I just got home from Springfield and hit three WM on the way - Nothing. One of them did have TWO full pegs worth of Serps and Buzzers along with a compliment of other, older wave figures including three Zartans. Haven't seem him since I picked up the only one I have. Bludd. | I understand what you're saying, but just to play devil's advocate (though it's the truth), I have yet to see Major Bludd on the pegs in any store. While many jump the gun and complain very early, these figures are nearly impossible to find in some parts of the country. Keep that in mind. Some are complaining only because they love the line and cannot find any.
I still haven't seen wave 8 or the shipwreck/copperhead wave of comic packs and it's starting to look like I never will. Many love to complain, but with this line, distribution is spotty at best so far. There is some merit to all of the whining, I think. artiepants: yeah, in Seattle i've only seen jet pack Duke and Snake-eyes v3 one since the weekend i got wave 5: no wave 6, those 2 from w.7 and not even a hint of wave 8... (bbts preorders FTW) topnotch97: now does that come with a perm?

Bludd. | That really irritates me not finding mjr. bludd, so I had to break down and pre-order him with the wave 9 revision case 1 from bbts jeremywatts: I've preordered mine for a good reason around here it normally is one or two cases per wave per store that you can find. Everything is either being scalped or never being ordered. I was at a Wal Mart outside of town and Rock N Roll is a peg warmer due to them ordering so many wave 6 sets but then they never ordered wave 7 or 8. I'm gald to see a Snow Serpent box set because I ordered two from HTS and doubt I will find many more around here. I know the BAT is going to be scarce also. tile_mcgillus: Anybody see anything? Of course most of mine were from wave 8 cases, so I hope you're right. arch2b: this up in production numbers is not felt nation wide however. i still can not find joes regularly on pegs at any of the large chain stores in my area. hell, i have only seen one of the new comic packs as of yet.
i can say i've seen more restocks of wave 8 than any other since but there is by no means a wash of them hanging around waiting to be purchased everywhere. again, it's very regional whcih sucks. Cobra-La: I haven't noticed any different since the supposed increase in production. They still blow out of the stores as soon as they arrive. Probably to be stocked in some dude's ebay store. The vehicles showed up in SC first and wave 3 of the comics hit everywhere at the same time. Heck, most of the first toy sightings are in Arizona! Porkchop Sandwiches: someone found them in the texas sightings thread. Agent-GHQ: I thought the West Coast would get them first since its closer to China. How K-Mart from the East Coast got the vehicles is beyond me. Syn3sthesia: The days of you West coasters getting everything are finally over...at least till next wave. |
