His jacket is too stiff looking.

I dont feel that bad now about cancelling, Im not liking this one at all. The jacket and headsculpt look awful to me.

Still looking forward to mine. But I am a bit disappointed in the jacket. Thought it was going to look like leather. I do like the exclusive head though.

I like the alternate head.

But I don't like the look of the jacket or the camo on the pants.

Like the last pick with him reloading. Glad I got the exclusive with this swap out head. I actually like it better than the standard...looks a little odd with the helmet on.

How about a pic without the jacket? The jacket looks like you need to wad it up to get some crinkles in it...looks too new like he just bought it....LOL

My feelings exactly, like breaking in a baseball glove, only its not real leather and its never going to look that way.

Sideshow should have used 1:6 scaled faux leather to make the jacket just like HT used on Wolverine (IMO)~But what do I know, I don't run a million dollar business,... I just support one.

I'm really not feeling this one. The jacket looks more like a sweatshirt with a collar. I'm not big on the head sculpt either. But I'm sure someone makes a 1/6 Bruce Willis head for it

once again....the "prototype" much different from the final product. Sideshow, what's the deal what that?

hmm... I might have to try to find another 1/6 leather jacket for Hawk now. Definitely still getting this this weekend.

Yeah, good call on replacing the jacket. I'm going to do that with mine as well.

Its funny, I have a brown leather jacket that looks almost exactly like the one Hawk has and it, too, looked stiff. But after wearing it a few years, it got that worn look.

There has got to be something we can do to make the jacket look more worn on this figure...I will wait to futz with it when I get it tomorrow.

I wasn't too sure about this figure once Sideshow released it but I have to say that it isn't all that bad once I actually received it, these are my thoughts on this figure:

Good Points - Love the .357 Magnum, Loved the Tactical Hand Held Radio, The G1 Flight Jacket and Robinson Arms XCR(tm) PDW Rifle were also really cool

Bad Points - Looks way too much like Bruce Willis from the original Die Hard movie (wonder if SSC knew something about the new G.I. Joe movie coming out in 2012), and I am not liking that SSC adds the XMLR-1 Laser Rifle to keep the old school effect, I for one do not like it and wish they would have given him a shotgun instead, I am all for keeping certain aspects true to the old school, but I am more for modernizing the weapons

This is probably my least favorite of all the figures released but still an integral part of my display and must have for completists like me, I just wish they would release a better version of Snake Eyes, same weapons just different body mold

Glad ya’ll are enjoying the photos. These pics are right out of the box so I didn’t spend too much time adjusting the clothes. But with a few tweaks here and there I’m sure the jacket won’t look too stiff. I will post more pics of Hawk without the jacket when I get the chance. In the mean time feel free to post your own when your General Hawks arrive.

I got mine in yesterday, I am pretty happy with the figure being that its my first sideshow to ever purchase, I am still waiting on when the Viper will come out. I would have to agree with the jacket issue because it does seem to be a little stiff, not to mention how much of a pain in the ass it is to switch from him wearing his jacket to just his BDU's.

Oh, come on, that’s part of the fun, dressing up my doll… ahem, I mean gearing up my one-sixth scale action figure XD. It does take a little time and patience to put these things together. I find the process kind of soothing myself.

Sideshow has already said another Snake Eyes is coming (which will likely be much better than the 1st piece)

It was said to be a 'deluxe' release with commando and visor heads and likely will come with Timber

I hope to have time to open my Hawk sometime today. I have to admit that all the negative reaction is tempering my enthusiasm. So much that I'm reconsidering my Exclusive Viper I have on order. May just cancel it and wait to buy the regular version at some future date.

I get mine tomorrow and will post up some pics this weekend...first thing I'm gonna do is take off that jacket and scrunch it up in my hand to get that "worn" look.

Noooooooo...don't do it Roland!!! The Viper should be a homerun, unless they manage to screw up the helmet in some way. I actually like the EX swap out portrait, gives him a kind of Russian tanker kind of look.

I guarantee you it will be a sell-out if they nail it and will be as hard to get as Firefly afterwards.

Looks to be a great figure even if the head screams Bruce Willis a little TOO much.

I thought of Hart's War when I saw the EX head...LOL

He feels too much like DUke so I passed on this one. Didn tlike the head, looks too much like Bruce Willis and since WIllis is playing Colton in th emovie this perosnification of Hawk/Willis just didn't sit well with me. I passed on Duke and FLint for the same reasons, lacluster bodies and terrible faces...

No way ! Keep thjat viper. You won't be displeased with him! I wish I could have gotten my hands on the excluisive, but I can't army build the vipers to justify 2 more so one can have the alt head and one with the reg head. since they announced the CG...

You have to admit that this is probably the worst figure they have released by far, for me it is a toss up between this figure and the first Cobra Commander. However the Crimson Commander was awesome but the blue one (BLEHHHH!!!!!). Even though I don't like these two figures they are very important to have in my collection, I luckily was able to start collecting these bad boys when they released Snake Eyes and I will continue to purchase every one they make, I am really hoping for Snow Job, Gung-Ho, Alpine, or Blowtorch. Heck, even a camouflage ninja would be awesome, if they can add a Black Dragon Ninja then can make me a camouflage one, how sweet would that be?

just a random question being that this is my first sideshow figure, is there a way to un-warp the plastic stand?? its warped in the middle and bubbles up, but its not hindering my figure from being put on the stand just he's a little wobbly on my shelf =/

My thoughts exactly, I would bet Sideshow has one they could send your way possibly, hope it works out for you, these figures are just plain awesome, I gave up collecting my 3 3/4" figures for these and it has been worth it

I think it would be a great idea, however this jacket that comes with him looks sweet even though it doesn't have that worn look

Just got my Hawk in and I'm trying to break in the jacket, but apparently the fabric that is used is some sort of vinyl suede (take a whiff of that jacket and tell me that there nothing toxic going on in there ;P ) and will not stay crunched after squeezing it in my hand and then resorts to its original form

Can't wait, picking mine up tomorrow. Then immediately saving for Cobra Viper. :P I really should have slowed down on the pre-ordering of stuff money is SO tight.

Enjoyed putting this set together. Kinda prefer the exclusive sculpt on this one . . . . . .

Awesome pic's! I agree the exclusive head is the way to go.

I wish I had gotten in there before the cut off for the ex version but I will be happy with what I have, maybe later down the line someone will sell the exclusive head. BTW Armchairsoldier how did you get the jacket to have that under-fold near the waistline? I am having trouble achieving that with my jacket.
