many more Major Bludd Sixth Scale Figure images after the jump.

Feared, merciless and despised; all traits of a brilliant tactician, war criminal, mercenary, murderer and yet another scale in the COBRA organization. Born in Sydney Australia, Major Sebastian Bludd served in the Australian Special Air Service Regiment, the French Foreign legion and as a third world military adviser for hire prior to his involvement with the terrorist organization known as COBRA. Loathed and wanted around the globe for his many crimes and disregard for human life, this ruthless mercenary is proficient with a staggering variety of weapons and combat skills, all of which are wielded by a razor sharp tactical mind. Bludd has served the role of field commander and assassin for COBRA, but he has no loyalty except to himself and his bank account. Cold and calculating, not even COBRA Commander trusts Bludd. He has been involved in plots within the COBRA organization and high command which would cause many to question the Commander having Bludd on the payroll. Many within COBRA keep him at arms length so as to not let him get to close. His skills though would persuade even his most hated enemy to recognize his talents, albeit with disgust. One would not think this evil killer would have a passion for poetry unfortunately his poetry lacks the skill he possess in combat. Major Bludd is an asset to COBRA (if the price is right) and loathed enemy of the JOES. No pity. No compassion.

MitchPower:
eeew that is quite expensive I think I'll pass this one
RolandofGilead:
Got one.
CobraCoffee:
When did Tom Selleck put on Bludds outfit? Did I miss that part of the comic?
tycondrius:
holy awesome saucy I ordered mine :P just hope I remember about it next june! or I'm around to take delivery of it.
DESTRO:
Got mine!
Sgt Adrian:
WOW!!! must fight urge......fantastic additional head.....the baroness is just going to be amazing as well! can't wait to see what exclusive she comes with!!!!

props to sideshow for another great fig. I saw this at SDCC in person..its really awesome.
tycondrius:
I am having a nerdgasm over the fact he has a fully articulated robotic right hand. I'm loving the idea of doing a dio with him using the power of the cybernetic hand to choke one of the joes.
The Commander:
And...Preordered!
Matt Trakker:
Got my Pre-order in! Another great looking figure from Sideshow.
arc30:
Preordered! no hesitation
RolandofGilead:
Sucks having to wait at least until June, but this is an excellent figure and well worth it.
willworkfortoys:
June is a looooong time away. Pre-ordered regardless. I just hope June 2013 doesn't bring two other SS figures, a con, and anything else that might continue to stretch the wallet. Figure looks great though.
Cdt Weasel:
That figure looks great, too rich for my budget though.

Shame noone at sideshow knows what sabot is.
Irid70:
Going to have to pass on this one. For that price I need to feel no hesitation, and I felt it. for $100 or $120 I'd do it, but at $175 I start to balk. I'd pay it for Baroness, though, and am paying it for the new SE later this year. Just not for this Bludd fig. Enjoy him, though, gents.
Cksport:
Ordered, but this doesn't seem to have that much more gear to justify the added cost.. 174.99 damn...
teemu8:
easy purchase...this will rank up there as one of the best of this line....don't buy now? you'll pay higher prices much later
Keenan:
Pre-ordered one. The sculpting looks fantastic.
jeffafa:
I always pictured him as bald under the helmet...
esg2145:
Is that a Nerf gun?

Superjoe74:
Major Bludd is definitely one of the better figures from GI Joe that Sideshow has produced. Baroness is tremendously awesome and probably the best so far.
M_renegade:
By far the best Sideshow Joe!! O_o
Mr. Gone:
every figure that comes out is the "best one so far". and btw, Sideshow is getting out of control with these prices.

I second that, the figures are aewsome, but it's hard to justify those prices.

Agreed. I'm not going to pay that kind of cash unless the figure totally, totally blows me away. And I really like the Sideshow figures, but I've been choosy (no CC, no troop types, only individual characters off a list). Bludd was on that list, but not that figure for that price.

I think there is some correlation to that though to the increase in price to the higher quality. if you look at some of the early figures and compare them to the recent ones you can see lots of improvements in paint apps, uniform, etc.

But i do agree the prices are getting a bit tricky, of course they arent coming out as frequently as they were in the past.
dorian247:
I'm still going to get him though no hesitation either. Sideshow really only does about 4-6 figures a year (i think). There is always at least one I dont buy (Black Dragon Ninja, desert troopers etc.) When I break down 5 figures a year its not that bad.
Aladdin Sane:
I preordered it this morning too. I think it looks fantastic.

Interesting that there isn't a regular edition. I wonder if Sideshow is phasing out the "Exclusives" and just making the entire line a SS Exclusive from now on?
Hoping that Baroness goes up soon.
Dusty Ayers:
That is a huge price jump. It seems even more odd considering he has fewer accessories than pretty much every other figure in this line.

Man, I'm not sure. My first SS Joe was SE and I think the quality is the same with him as it is with Duke and Hawk. I don't think the price issue would be as big with people if it also didn't look like the gear got reduced.

Sideshow Joes are for the Big boys anyway
cardensb:
I could not say no. I never even paid much attention to the price. I hope the nerf gun is spring loaded.

Roflcopter.
Str8cash:
Got this as my very first SideShow piece
Cdt Weasel:
I imagine the fully articulated arm helped raise the price.
dorian247:
The more unique parts a figure has the higher the price
malcontentman:
I totally pre-ordered him. "There will be Bludd" They have vastly improved on their head sculpts. Major Bludd looks way better than a lot of the previous figures all though to be fair they did start improving after Duke and Flint and before then most of the figures were masked anyway. I have every figure so far except The Crimson Guard and Falcon. I still have to pick those guys up. Now I want see how SideShow would handle a Xamot & Tomax set.
Disrup:
yes!!!! exclusive pre order locked in!
malcontentman:
You now, the more I look at the head sculpt on SS's Bludd, I just start imagining him to sound like the dude that played Kano in the first Mortal Kombat movie.
Mr. Gone:
I was being a bit sarcastic when I said "every figure is the best one so far". I agree SS has gotten much better with the sculpting and overall execution of the line, but better than Zartan? better than Firefly? ...I think not.
bluddmajor:
This is a pretty freaking awesome Major Bludd.. My hats off to Sideshow. PERFECT representation of the classic figure.

However, I really feel the earlier Cobra figures (with the exception of Storm Shadow, Zartan and the awesome Viper and Crimson Guard) could be better. Why cant we have a Version 1 Chrome dome Cobra Commander in the exact style of the vintage figure? I thought the Sideshow hooded version was OK, but I dont know why he was all puffed up on Steroids...hes Cobra Commander, not Skeletor..So that bothered me. I am SURE Im not the only one who wants the version 1 CC in the Sideshow treatment done right. Also the basic Trooper and Officer...I dont know why they chose to give the officer tan webgear...it just looks awful on the blue and black uniform. And the Cobra logo is waaay to big on the chest...looks cartoony and silly, needs to be sized down for sure.
Steel Brigade:
He looks like Tom Selleck but I think it's one of Sideshow's better efforts.

Fair point. They definitely improved with the
faces after Duke and Flint.

I would say it's different for firefly because he is masked so there is no facial details to worry about, they did the eyes perfect on friefly though, very intense.

In my opinion I think Zartan is the best one SS has done, the face sculpt, paint apps, body design, accessories were all first rate.

Im optimistic that Bludd could be on or close to the same level of SS Zartan but in part I think it's harder for Bludd because Zartan the character is just SO popular and I think that creates a little bias.

because Sideshow is doing a V1 Cobra Commander...probably will see it within 2 years
Kaedryl:
Nice looking figure and have my preorder in. I wish they would have stuck with the more classic look for his rocket pistol rather than the 3-barrelled monstrosity he comes with. I loved Bludd's gun when he first came out as it was so different from the other's at the time. Wish they would have stuck with it.

Otherwise great face sculpt, nice update to the armor/arm.

As for price, I don't think it's so much the sculpt, but rather they are starting to test the waters more of what we will pay. So far, it seems like $175 is not the limited based on the pre-orders in this thread.
Davestro:
Preordered...June 2013 can't come soon enough. Love the interpretation and EX head with monocle. Now we need Baroness up by tomorrow....

Oddly, there was a regular edition listed because I have 2 of them ordered. Not sure what happened to the link on their site

Can't wait for this June is so far away but it gives me time to buy other some 3rd party tfs and some mlgi Joe movie line stuff in the meantime.

Dude, I know what you mean about the 3rd party TFs. I just bought Grind Rod and Assaulter and they do not disappoint. Plus, Uranos is coming and all the new MPs too.

On the Joe side of things I just picked up two Crimson Guard figs since they were on sale over the holiday, and some extra POC HISS Attack Scouts.
iambob13:
I'd love to start getting into the Sideshow game, but I have a quick question if someone could help me out.

When does Sideshow start charging for the figure with the preorder? For now I would have to preorder with a payment plan. Would they begin charging under the payment plan now or on release day? I don't have the funds for it now, but I will have enough for the first payment by June.

I could have the money saved for it entirely by release day, but it looks like I'll be able to go to my first JoeCon. I want to make sure I have some funds saved up for that first.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
