Is it still worth buying older Call Of Duty games?

I wanted to know if people were still playing the older Call Of Duty games like World At War, and the first Modern Warfare online?

Right now TRU has a buy 1 get 1 at 40% offf on their PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii games.

I was thinking of picking up the those two older Call Of Duty titles for PS3 as part of their Greatest Hits releases. They are only $19.99 each.

Do you any of you think that it's worth it?

If people are no longer playing them online do you think that they are worth it just for the single player alone?

The only one that I've played so far is Modern Warfare 2, so i figured why not pick up the older ones as well.

Plus I got a $15 gift card I can use.

Please let me know what you think.

yeah i think people are still playing them, even though black ops just came out, not everyone can afford every game that comes out, so there are always people playing the older stuff. The COD campaigns are always super short, but very well done. If you can get them for a good price, why not.

I just bought this game as well, have yet to open and play it, but I don't like the sound of its "play felt off"...I love FPS's and I hope the controls aren't screwy, as I love WW2 FPS's...luckily it's a "Greatest Hits" title and not so expensive...

WAW rocks

I play it everyday and the Zombie mode is an added bonus! You get to run around killing Nazi Zombies...I paid $40 for mine used :(

So if you can get it for $20 new I'd say go for it.

I actually prefer the older titles, less updates, cheating and what not. My fave is a 360 launch title COD 2! Ahh, love it! Still love MW1, great maps IMO.

MW2 was ruined for me by lag switchers and cheaters... black ops isn't getting much better for me personally.

I miss WaW. About a week before Black Ops came out I jumped on and there were over 30,000 people playing. Man, it was a blast. I forgot how much I liked the older equipment system, and the lowtech of that game. CoD4 is still going strong, as is MW2 from what I hear. Supposedly people still play 2 and 3, aswell.
