I ordered a 1 in 150 video cartridge for my old school nintendo.
I never played it as a kid so I am excited to see that gi joe part 1 and 2 are included. If you have played either one can you post a quick review on your thoughts and review of the game and rate it. Thanks guys. If interested I can also review the 1 in 150 cartridge after I have played it for a good week. I have seen great reviews on youtube so I have pretty high hopes. Instant collection. |

I played it once a long time ago when I rented it from a Blockbuster. It's ok, it did at least have the proper GI Joe characters, though most of the bosses aren't really from the high tier of COBRA Command. The arcade shooter was much, much better...7 out of 10 I suppose?

What are some details about this cartridge?
I was looking at a retrocon today and might be interested in this. G.I. Joe is not bad. A few playable characters. Snake Eyes, Rock & Roll & Duke are a few I remember. The 2nd one - The Atlantis Factor had Hawk, Capt. Grid Iron & 90 Snake Eyes I think.

I remember having and playing both. I liked it cause of being a G.I.Joe fan. However, the boss fights were a little unrealistic and the bosses were more than double the size of your character if I remember correctly.
The one I loved the most though was the arcade G.I.Joe. Not sure if it was ever available on any game platform.

The 2nd one - The Atlantis Factor had Hawk, Capt. Grid Iron & 90 Snake Eyes I think. It works on the original nes and the retron 1,2,3, and 4. It has 150 games total. No duplicates and no home brews. Once you select the game it plays instantly. Some notable games Mario 1-3 Megaman 1-6 Ninja gaiden 1-3 Contra 1-4 Ninja turtles 1-4 Castlevania 1,2 It has a bunch of games only released in Japan on the famico system. Many hard to find games that are over $100. I got the cartridge for $30 shipped on ebay. I watched a few reviews on youtube and they all say this is the best multicart hands down. Games play just like the originals. You will basicaly never have to buy another game again. Instant collection worth years of play. I |

I remember having a great time playing both GI Joe NES games. They aren't the greatest games overall. If they weren't GI Joe I would maybe say 6 out of 10, but as a big GI Joe fan I would say 8/10 or 9/10 just for the fun of playing as some of my favorite characters and fighting familiar Cobras and vehicles.
In both games you can pick a team of three Joes for each level and switch between them freely during the mission. The first one lets you play as Duke, Blizzard, Rock n Roll (v2), Snake Eyes, and Capt Grid Iron. All of them have different stats for health, jumping, punching, and weapons. You can also play as Jet Pack Hawk only for the last level because he is overpowered. The second game features Hawk, Wet Suit, Duke, Roadblock, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes. In addition to different stats, some characters have special abilities that made choosing your team more strategic. I remember Wet Suit could go underwater so I loved using him a lot. There are a good variety of levels and the Cobra bases each have a separate objective you have to accomplish before you can go to the end, like setting explosives in certain places or rescuing all the hostages. I remember having a pretty tough time with these as a kid, but when I replayed them as an older gamer, they were much easier to figure out.

Played both
I remember I had a notebook with all my codes to continue where I left off. The key is to build up characters and to use certain characters in certain places. You also have to beat the clock and get out before the bombs blow in Atlantis. That you will have to figure out as you go though!

The first one had some creative use of under-used Cobra/IG characters and vehicles. So I give them props for that. Cobra-La Royal Guards living the NYC sewers...who knew?

Ah yes... Somehow the lowly Range-Viper out ranked Raptor... And then wound up looking more like a Laser-Viper. Great game.
And dang it, bought the 150 in 1 cartridge thanks to impulse buying. |
