I had it as a kid, and still play it every few years. I like the first one better than the Capcom version. Rock n' Roll is my favorite Joe because of the game, and I'll always have a fondness for Blizzard and Captain Grid-Iron because of it.

If you want to play the old G.I. Joe arcade shooter. Then get Mame and download the ROM for it. The game is still awesome and the theme is pretty sweet. The nintendo games aren't too bad, either. If you like 2d side scrollers, then both G.I. joe games are worth it. You don't even need an original Nintendo to play these. Just make sure you have a computer with at least 400 MHz processing speed and then go to google and search for emuparadise and locate the roms and emulators you would like to play. You can also purchase retro controllers with USB for any game console and play those with the emulator of choice. I tend to use the xbox 360 controller for everything, even though the d-pad sucks.

I big retro gamer. I bought the original nes joe game but would not play on my Retron 5. I do have it now on my hacked all 600 nes library on my nes mini, but have not played it yet. Looking forward to it though. Shame, everyone keeps asking "how do we get kids to love GI JOe?", and the answer is right in front of them. Make a game.

Yep, all they have to do is make a good 1st or 3rd person action game in the G.I. Joe world and not a ROC game. Done, then add some toys, too.

Ive always thought that the star wars battlefront game engine would be great for a joe game. Vehicles and characters just going at it in huge gi joe themed sunbow maps
