I am such a Joe fan, that I love G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra the Game. I play it nearly everyday, and enjoy the fast-paced and arcade feel. In lieu of an animated series, I would gladly accept G.I. Joe video games. Here's the deal: the game HAS TO BE 3RD PERSON!! Duke, Roadblock, and Snake Eyes have different skills, and it would distinguish the Joe games from Call of Duty and Battlefield titles.
There are several cool things about the game, but one is that a number of the Retaliation Cobras are in the game: the Retaliation Cobra Trooper, Cyber Ninja, Red Ninja, and HISS Tanks all show up. The Cyber Ninja is clearly the Night Creeper from the game; and the MARS Assault Trooper is essentially the Cobra Trooper. The MARS Shield Trooper is akin to the Alley Viper, with the shield being electromagnetic. The soundtrack is great, and the overall feeling exudes Joe for the 21st Century. I would encourage fans to get the game...and make suggestions to Hasbro for future games. |

I`d be down for a well thought out 1st person Joe game. where it was set up like call of duty or medal of honor or even battlefield. Or a mix of them. where you could interact with the characters. play as different characters. use different vehicles. and create your own joe and logo kinda thing. That might be awesome. Play as either side too.

could also run 3rd person too for special missions etc. but must include an online multiplayer mode.

I think a real time strategy game like Command and Conquer would suit the Joe Universe well. Choose to lead either the Joe team or Cobra building vehicles and bases (all from the arah universe) as you go. You can train troopers and officers and use main characters according to their specialties. Levels can play out much like an episode of the cartoon and in different environments where you decide which side you're on and how you'll carry out the mission.

You don't play the ROC video game because you love G.I. Joe, you play it because you hate yourself.

I have to admit that I have been thinking about what Hasbro can do to carry-on the joe brand to a newer generation. It would suck to see the brand die-off, and that is one of the reasons I was happy to learn about kreo. They may be in a different format, but they haven't let the (arah) brand die. Lego has the movie to tie-in with it's toys, but I think it would have to be video games for the joe brand.
I like the idea of a Command and Conquer type, maybe even set up in an app situation for ipad/droid?

I think a Tactical RPG like Shadowrun Returns would be pretty cool. I don't care if it's not flashy 3d. Imagine being able to pick a team of Joes (or Cobras) and running missions.

Hell, I'd buy all of the above. 1st an 3rd person shooter/action adventure game platform would work in a single game with options to toggle between them, like with the old Jedi Knight games.
Then a separate game that works like command and conquer where you could run a war from above as the commander of joes (green shirts) or cobras. Finally what's wrong with some sort of online role player game where you can choose or even create your own characters and play out a story like one of the story arcs in the comic books. I think there's potential here. But sadly I realistically know it will never happen.
