Umbrella's end was when Spencer died, which was also in RE5.
Amateur does not get me the trophy for normal. And there is more to RE than just a zombie filled city. There are puzzles, there is horror, atmosphere, all of which Leon's game several lacks for 90% of it. My definition of horror is atmosphere and suspense, which RE6 severely lacks. There are moments, like Leon in the church, Leon in the cemetery, Leon in the school at the beginning, Chris inside the ship when those regenerating things are chasing you, but there isn't enough of it. Horror is NOT hordes of monsters rushing at you. However, all of that would not matter if this game just did not straight out suck!! I honestly had no real issues with RE5. I hated the fact that they took out the horror, but I still had fun with the game. It was a solid game. RE6 is just a mish mash of ideas thrown together without any care or thought put into making sure they work, and the game was thrown on to the market just to case in on the new movie's release. And yes, Capcom should apologize. They decided to cater to the casual ADD audience who cannot play a game if they aren't shooting something every 5 seconds. On the other hand, let me talk about what I have liked thus far: I liked the part of Leon's first chapter when you go to help a group of survivors and the officer says it is first day on the job. That whole segment was pretty cool. I also liked the trek through the graveyard and then the puzzle segments of the cathedral. The airplane portion was well done and very enjoyable. Going through the city trying to find the three keys and have those regenerating monsters chase after you was fun. In fact, it is the same for Chris' game. I really liked the part in the Chapter 4 when you are in the ship trying to find the three keys and are being chased constantly by the regenerating monsters. The tight quarters with the suspense of where you were going to run into them was very tense. Then don't play it. You have several complaints about it, say it sucks, yet seem to be going for trophies. If you don't like it, that's cool, but whining about it and then proceeding to play it...yeah. Saying it sucks is going rather far though, imo. The game in general doesn't suck. It's a great game, and it's fun. Maybe try playing with friends or something. Capcom doesn't have to apologize just because some people don't like it. That is just stupid. There are those of us who appreciate a good game, and, whether you like it or not, RE6 is a good game. It's fun, the stories are great in their own ways, the graphics are pretty as hell, etc. I am the type of person who gets bored really easily, and I have already replayed RE6 a few times, and I just started playing on Saturday because I work during the week and don't get a lot of game time. Like I said, if you don't like it, that's cool, but to say it downright sucks, nah, gonna have to disagree with that, and not saying it because I am a big fan of the series. It just plain doesn't suck. Perhaps not up to your 'godly' standards, but it's a fun game in general. Suck it up, buttercup, change is good, because 18 games of the same shit is boring.

Well, I beat Ada's mission today and to be honest, I was very disappointed with her missions in the long run. The first mission was good, but had too much combat in it and not enough ammo. The second and third missions were awesome, the fourth mission was pretty fun, but the final chapter was just a train wreck and ruined her entire game for me. Not to mention nothing was still explained. With that said, Jake's campaign was definitely the best of the game and the one I had the most fun with.
I did buy infinite ammo for my magnums and assault rifles though, so I am going through Leon's campaign again with speed, and it is better than it was the first time, but there is so much more they could have done with it. Overall, I have to say it is probably better than RE5, but not by much. I give the game a 6/10.

The good thing IMO about the old RE games is that the slow survival horror pacing and gameplay was perfect for RE's clunky tank like controls. IMO Resident Evil gameplay was never meant for run & gun action; you can tell this is true by the playing RE5 in veteran and professional mode. In the normal difficulty it is fun as heck, but in the harder settings in which precision and timing is crucial... the clunky controls make it near impossible to play. The only thing for me is if RE6 is mostly a pure action game this time around, then I hope they tweaked the controls to match. For me RE3 for the PS1 will always be my fav... followed closely behind by RE2. 3rd place belongs to the RE1 remake on the Gamecube. And as great a game as RE4 was... I hated it so much... that game was just too hard... I kept running out of ammo in RE4. LOL. |

RE4 is actually not only my favorite in the series but my favorite game followed closely by REmake. RE3 is definitely my 3rd favorite in the series and Nemesis is easily my favorite RE creature to date.
It's funny but I actually hated RE3 my first playthrough cause in RE1 and 2 I was used to being able to run away from enemies especially early on in the game but RE3 you face Nemesis 5 mins in and you can't outrun him because he'd catch you, then a few minutes later, he jumps through a window with a freaking rocket launcher!

That's my fav thing about RE5... you could replay older levels and exit at anytime and you would keep the ammo and health you picked up. I never ran out of ammo in RE5. The main reason I like RE3 is cuz of Jill Valentine and her trademark outfit with the skirt and blue top. LOL |

Nemesis is definitely the weakest from a story stand point, but honestly, I wish RE died with Raccoon City.
Anyway, I've realized RE6 is definitely the embodiment of the old saying, "A jack of all trades, masters of none."

Gotta confess... I never actually finished RE4. LOL. I got all the way until the very last part where there is all the tents and stuff and I just totally ran out of ammo. I should've conserved, but the new RE4 gameplay was so much fun compared to older RE games I was just shooting away through the whole game. By the end I couldn't find ammo or health and kept dying in that camp area over and over again and I didn't want to restart... so I just called it quits. LOL.

SO yeah, I beat it, got infinite ammo, went through Leon's game again and got bored so I sold it off for $90 because I never used the codes.
