The Solo figures are wave 4 of the current 5 POA line, due for release at an unspecified time later this year. Wave 3 hasn’t hit stores yet, but may soon. The four pack with Qi’ra is the blu ray release pack, scheduled for September. News of a different, target exclusive trooper pack from Solo just dropped the other day (see the link in my previous post), and it could be available as soon as tomorrow.
My guess is the split in Solo releases (some in April, some in late year) is a consequence of the director change on Solo. Either Hasbro wanted to avoid releasing all figures at potentially the wrong time, or slowed the development cycle on some characters whose looks might have been candidates to change when Howard took over. The second wave of vintage (young Han, Enfys Nest, Hovertank driver, Deathtrooper) was labeled an August release for a while, but preorders are now saying Sept, so who knows. The final wave for the year (Nov? Dec? I forget...) will add four more figures, Range Trooper, Dr Aphra, Cassian Andor, and Luke TFA/TLJ. We know several figures from 2019 and their release dates as well. |

I just saw the Leia on Toyark. That is one nice looking figure. Amazing how the tech has progressed.

Princess Leia Organa Figure (Boushh Disguise) - The Black Series 3.75" - JEDIBUSINESS.COM It definitely looks better, but that figure is literally one of the worst figures Hasbro ever made for Star Wars. The thermal detonator is permanently attached in one hand, the other hand is too small to hold the staff and has a nasty tendency to be defective (About 50% defect rate, oh yes, no exaggeration this time.) and suffers from small hand syndrome. Oh, the elbows, don't go in that well, AND SHE'S REALLY REALLY SHORT FOR SOME REASON. I will literally never forget how awful it was. I got a few hundred Boush Leias for testing at the shop one day in 2015 and literally 46% had defective hands. Mostly there was a ton of pin head syndrome and derpy paint job going on. I was like what the heck is this? I gave her a quality review of 2 to 1 out of 5, below average to borderline useless for potential customers at the time. Heck, the official picture Hasbro released has a defective hand right there. Notice how she doesn't hold the pole with her whole fist, instead they use a photo trick using only the thumb and index finger to prop it up. OF COURSE, THE ONLY NON DEFECTIVE FINGERS, LIKE THE OTHER 46% failures!! Srry I'm salty about that one, obviously once I tested them I had to get rid of them, but getting rid of hundreds of those damng things when they were selling for massive losses when I have a loss budget amount per month WAS REALY DAMNG STUPID IRRITATING at the time. |

OK, so the head on the Leia does look like a very nice sculpt with great paint apps, but...I don't see Carrie Fisher's likeness in it really at all. Am I alone in this?

I'd be more excited for this figure is I didn't get the Black series version a couple years ago. I'm fine with the portrait, and improvements from existing figures are always welcome but there are some much older figures that need upgrades, Bib Fortuna, Squid head, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'll pick up one Boushh on vintage card but not as excited for her as I was for say, Skiff Guard Klatuu
