Aside from the new figures, Lanard has been rehashing the same vehicles for the last 15 years.

Although i have absolutely zero use for 90% of the corps! figures the 5 newer figures with the 25th Joe style elbow joints are at the very least good fodder at a good price. .99 cents to $2 per isnt bad for customizing / making some unique figures.
Ultimately though... the price point is what keeps the Corps! relevant. I can honestly say that if the newer figures had ball jointed hips Lanard would receive a lot of money from me simply due to the convenience of their being in every store i come across. They make unique product that doesnt take itself as seriously as GI Joe. In a way...like Marvel Universe. A big purple skinned guy with a mohawk (Guardian) can be taken seriously in the Marvel Universe. That wouldnt fly in GI Joe IMO. Quote:
I went Joe hunting last night and as usual came up empty handed. But I noticed of the 3 Wal Marts, 3 Super Targets, 2 HEB Plus, 2 ToysRUs, and 1 ROSS they were stacked to the rim with The Corps! What is the deal with these guys. Are anybody buying them? They have playsets, vehicles, 2 packs, 5 packs, etc. I'm lucking to even find a Renegades Trooper. And The Corps look pretty cheaply made, which I know is the reason why they cost so much less than Joes.
Does anyone here buy the Corps? Are kids even buying these figures? |

I own a Beach Assault. I love it. It's no W.H.A.L.E. but, it looks cool and I like it a lot. A person in one of the Facebook toy groups turned me on to it and I purchased mine on Amazon before they ran out. I probably over paid for it but, I just had to have one. If I still played with my toys I'd imagine that it was a small Greenpeace vessel going up against one of those giant whaling vessels. (Beach Assault vs. W.H.A.L.E.). Ahh..to be young again...
