The Avatar RDA Grinder is an ATV/Track vehicle combination that in my opinion (like other Avatar RDA vehicles) fits very well to the GI Joe toy line. And unlike most of the other Avatar vehicles, this one fits 25th style Joes very nicely.
The vehicle is about the same size as a GI Joe alpha class vehicle but at $20 MSRP, it's about 25% than the alpha class. I thought this to be very pricey but I was fortunate enough to pick one up at Target for the very nice clearance price of $4.84!!! The Grinder has some nice details and has a lot of articulation, though most of it doesn't make sense. For example the front wheels turn left and right but they also rotate about 270 degrees on the x axis making the wheels flat and sideways to the ground. The missiles and it's arms pivot and can be set in different poses but again doesn't make much sense. The rear tracks are rubber but like the smaller GI Joe tracked vehicles, it just has small roller wheels. Another issue I had was the lack of decals to make this thing a little bit more detailed. Though I like the olive/gray color of it making it look like a Joe jungle/ swamp attack vehicle. I think adding Joe decals to it will be a good addition to make it more detailed. Last thing I want to mention is one of the selling points of the Avatar toys is their "itag" gimmick. I thought it was more trouble than it was worth. It look forever to load and you had to adjust your webcam alot to get it into focus and the 3-d graphic though nice wasn't really impressive. Overall I was happy that I was able to pick this toy up for the price I paid for it and like I said earlier it makes a good addition to the Joe motor pool. However, if I would've paid full price for it I would've felt ripped off. For the money I would just buy another Snarler Cycle. I have two ratings for this toy... For what I paid for it 3.5 out of 5. If I had to pay full price 2 out of 5.

I just picked this up today (after some encouragement from a friend of mine) I agree, it's a nice little vehicle (especially for $5) I too wish there were some stickers and feel it should have at least come with one sticker for the holographic control screen. I think it'll work well with a Dreadnok at the controls

I can't even remember seeing that vehicle in the movie. Can somebody refresh my memory on this one?

No it wasn't in the movie. I don't know if it was ever included and cut later or what. I guess we'll know when the DVD gets released.

I think it was one of the background vehicles in the final jungle fight or something. I don't remember it either and I saw the movie twice

Thought about picking one of these up at $5 but so far I have held off. Just doesn't impress me enoguh to get as it is and I have no ideas on how to customize it.

Thanks for the pics and review. How much assembly was there? Can you scan the instructions?

A good snow vehicle or they work just fine as Dreadnok vehicles as they are. I was happy buying them for 10 bucks from KMart. Certainly no worse than most of the GI Joe Alphas.
