To all who have subbed. I attempted to order a quarterly Sub then I got a little sticker shock,$158!!! This is the first time I have ever decided to get a MOTU sub. Do you have to pay the $158 up front or just the $25 sub fee? The only sub I did was for Voltron and I only paid the initial sub fee. Can't remember what it was. I would like to help out the line as well. I may be the deciding factor.

Just 25. I checked my credit card statement and I was charged for 75 for the 3 subs.

MOTUC - 84%
DCUC - 51% Ecto-1 - 32% Looks like my prediction is spot-on so far. Now for the big spike to take it over the top. |

I just placed my order.
Too bad it looks like Ecto-1 isn't going to make it. I was all excited about it at first. Actually thinking of canceling Grayskull and buying it instead, but then I thought about what you're actually getting for so much money and...

I pre-ordered the Ecto-1 on a whim, even though I don't collect their Ghostbusters line. But I'm a little ambivalent about it because unlike Grayskull we have no idea who's designing it. And they uploaded a video the other day demonstrating the electronics on their mock-up. The working siren is kind of neat, but the engine noise sounds like the damn Millennium Falcon and playing a low-quality snippet of the Ghostbusters theme seems utterly pointless in the age of portable music and MP3's.

I love Ghostbusters. I have a bunch of the figures from the line, but not all, and I've always said there couldn't possibly be an audience big enough got it.
Not that it would have been much of a big jump, but Mattel should have listened to all the fans that wanted them to expand into the Real Ghostbusters designs. That would have opened them up to more figures and cool ghosts and all. Oh well.

I'm still toying with the idea of a second sub. I kind of want to do it just to get duplicates of my favorites, like Two Bad, Hydron, and Modulok. MOTUC will definitely go through, but it looks the other two are dead. Matty needs to bring back Voltron. lol.

Two Bad and Molulok where the reasons I subbed up. There will be a lot of figures I might sell off to get rid of but at least 2 I want to keep.

Mattel needs to take all the DCUC they have already made and shrink them to 4" scale. Simple easy, and those are the designs everyone wants anyway! That's a sub I could get behind.
