i know this is not joe , but there are a lot of wrestling collectors on here. I'm not even sure I posted this in right place. With that said
I picked up several of the basic figs today HHH Big Show Taker Cena Bourn Kofi Orton Stone Cold Primo & Carlitos Bautista imo these are the best wrestling figs I have ever seen. I have collected Wrestling all the way through remco, ljn, hasbro, jakks, and all those terrible WCW figs. Every run and each series. I find these new Mattel ones constructed well, detailed, and for once they really are real scale. I was most surprised that the 2 nd series was already in the Kmart. I saw Edge, Hornswaggle & Finley, Miz & Morrison, as well as series one doubles Legacy, Micheals vs. Jericho, and Santino & Beth I also saw the ring enterances, flex force, & deluxe . They are all the same size just different accesories. It was raining wwe figs today in WV |

Thanks for the reviews, the figs look way better than I thought, not too far off form the prototypes.
I don't know, mess with your browser's settings, or upload the pics to imageshack.us and post the direct links. |

I saw these at Wal-Mart tonight. A Big pass for me. I am also a big wrestling fan. I have collected since Remco. I have several Japanese figures, LJN, Hasbro MOC, ECW MOC, majority of Jakks, TNA figures.
When I bought wrestling figures $6.99-$7.99 okay. Now Mattel is charging $14.99 for Elite figures. Gimma a break. The Edge looked awful. Batista and Bourne with there spray on tan look. Nope WWE figures (quality) will suffer without Jakks. The Jakks figures were really built tough. My buddy's son was huge into wrestling. He beat the crap out of his figures. These new Mattel figures look like the same quality as the TNA figures that Toybiz made. They look nice in the box but once a kid throws them around the ring their limbs break off. the basic fig is around $10 and are just fig, the ones w real clothes are extremely pricey i.e. the deluxe is $15 and the ring entrances are over $20. Since I started collecting joes, I will prob just stick with the basic run. I have no more room left for wrestling figs nnd any thing over $10 is pushing it in my book.
I thought that the Edge was the worst looking figs, that's why I passed on him today. I'll end up with him eventually. |

I am a Huge wrestling fan. Will be going to RAW to see Bret Hart return back to the ring for the first time since WCW. Also the arena that Raw will be at on Jan 4th is where Bret won the First ever King of the Ring tournament in 1993.
Back to wrestling figures. I hate to knock on wrestling figures because I've collected them for 20+ years. I just think they look not as good quaility. I went on Ringside and looked at the Hornswaggle Finley 2 pack. It looks like Mattel just took an Edge body painted it green and slapped a Finley head on it. I liked the Jakks version of Finley because he is not lean and muscular. The Elite figure Edge looked bad. Oh well, there are a few holes in my wrestling collection that I can still go back and try and fill and pass on the Mattel line. I would have really liked to see Jakks make a Classic Blue Blazer figure. Because I have 3 of the Bone Crushers Blue Blazer. But I guess it has something to do with Owen Hart's wife not wanting to permit his likeness. That's why there was never a Classic Owen made. |

Martha Hart will NOT let them do anything with his image, and even though Vince may have the rights he does not want the hassle dealing with the whole situation. I am excited, for personal reasons, as I am a worker, that this new Monday night war might spark interest in the industry. |
