So my wife is very understanding of my collecting, even if she doesn't understand my collecting. She has never encouraged it or participated in it, but has also never tried to force me to stop. She accepts that it makes me happy, and that makes her happy, even if she really doesn't want anything to do with it.

Which is why two days ago when I came home, I was shocked to find a SECOND Detolf waiting for me! She and a friend had driven almost an hour to the nearest IKEA and bought it for me, brought it home and even set it up!

Her motivation: I had mentioned briefly a week ago that I might try and sell off some of my collection because I was running out of display room, and she didn't want to see me part with any of my collection because she wants me to be happy. Of course, about a third of my collection is still boxed, but its much better than it was before!

HOW AWESOME IS SHE?!

I love her. (You can say that in front of other dudes, and still keep your man card, when she's done something that awesome, right?)

Derek, thats awesome man. Its crazy how it works....my girlfriend gives me all this drama about collecting "plastic" but then buys me a box full of star cases for christmas to display them. Women!

And yes, you can say you love your wife....we would kinda expect that since your married to her and all!

i think we'd drink your milkshake if you did not say you loved your lady. my wife cracks on me some but doesn't mind, so long as i don't go overboard. not just 10 minutes ago she readjusted my ss, se, cg fred and scarred trooper on the bookshelf, in front of sirius black.

You're looking at our combined movie collection. Hence the Matrix Boxset just before the Cary Grant/Katherine Hepburn Collection... not to mention "The Family Man" sandwitched between "District B13" and "Gladiator" ;)

Dudes! I love my wife of 7 years and our 3 beautiful daughters! She is a super model...Mind you she needs glasses! She is totally supportive of my toy addiction...She also wears L.A.M.B. and such. How come she can spend 100's of $$$ on clothes but gives me poop on $30.00 on toys ....Go figure!!

Yes. I resisted when Star Wars put out the Galactic Heroes. I resisted when they did the same with Marvel. I even resisted buying the DC Superfriends with the awesome Flash for my future son.

Saw the Fett and folded, even thought I can't relate to the urban coolness.
