You don't know that, mate. When I was 4, the phantom menace line had just come out. I made sure to take care of my toys very carefully, even though I was young. I really enjoyed playing with the Queen Amidala's Starship, for one thing. Just because I was young didn't mean I was abusive to my toys or anything, and same probably goes for this child.
In my mind, I think its good that kids have things like that to play with, too. A lot of the Joe collectors talk about having cool stuff when they were kids and enjoying playing with them, like the FLAG and the Defiant. Seems a bit hypocritical to talk about how kids today would just ruin toys that are, in most cases, more sturdily build. Being only 13 now, I speak from current and recent experience. IMO, let the kid have his toy. He'll probably have fun with it, and if not, its really not our business to decide whether he should or shouldn't have it, is it? Toys are made for kids, we had crazy huge toys with small parts as kids, why not the new generation? |

Using your kids as a "reason" for toy purchases is well within the rights of the parents...I still do it and I have 2 girls the youngest of which is 16...which actually reminds me...she asked me what I wanted for christmas and her older sister was in from college and shouted..."just buy toys!"

Toys are made for kids.
The Falcone makes a GREAT Lightning McQueen racetrack or Thomas the Tank Engine scrap yard. |

I received the Millenium Falcon as a gift in 1979 and I was 4 years old. That was my favorite toy besides the X-Wing. The new one is larger but I imagine I would have liked it just as well when 4.

My brother had a Falcon and we used to play with it when we were 4 or younger. I remember how heavy that bitch was trying to use that handle. What a great toy!
