Are there any people on here who bought McFarlanes "The Matrix" "A.P.U."? It was called "Mifunes last Stand"...I'm a HUGE Fan of Mechs and wish I woulda bought one when I had the chance...I think it's an awesome "Figure", just like the Hot Toys Powerloader is an awesomely detailed mecha Figure.
I know this figure was a lot cheaper than the Powerloader, but it had nice detailing, and is a badass Mecha in its own right. I know it is notorious for being EXTREMELY delicate, up to the point of breaking in the package, without ever being opened...I checked ebay for it an found two MOC going for $144 and $150!, I don't remember, but I think MSRP was $39.99...Shame I never got one...it's REALLY a NICE Piece. Anyways, anyone here have one? would I be beyond nuts to shell out that kinda cash for it, being a Mecha lover anyways?...

I have alot of the Mcfarlane Matrix stuff, but for some reason, everytime I saw the APU, I kept passing on it. That was definitely a dumb move on my part.

In any case regardless of the storyline, I'm sure that there are plenty of other "Mecha" type vehicle lovers, who thought that particular aspect of the Movie and Mecha Design was kickass, and who might of purchased one, or wish they did, like the poster above you...If you wanna bitch about the films and how they didn't live up to the first, go ahead though, still plenty of "nerd rage" left over the direction the films took, to go around, no doubt. Now to those (if any) who bought one, had the chance, would you have done it again, or left it on the shelf?

It's such a nice piece...so intricate and detailed...I can't Imagine why someone would get rid of it(unless they're not that into mechs).
I dunno, I just like the idea of a big anthropomorphic vehicle, that mimics it's pilots slightest movements, and unleashes a wall of lead and assorted ordnance at the push or flick of a trigger/button/switch/ what have you. I'm sure you had your reasons at the time though, but I sympathize with your loss...CAUSE I WANT ONE SO BAD, LOL!

I have one unopened that I got at a comic store, never did see them at retail stores. One thing I didn't like about them is they don't have any real cockpit protection for the operator against sentinels with razor claws.
