Not sure if there's been talk about this toy, but I picked up the Walmart exclusive Octuptarra Droid from the CW line recently. It's about $35, it's HUGE, way bigger than I expected. The central sphere is about 5" or so, and with the legs extended it's easily over a foot high. It's massive.
I figured some Joe fans might consider picking one up, since it's color scheme -- grey and blue -- works relatively well with Cobra, and the design in general seems like the sort of thing the guy who came up with the Pogo and Trubble Bubble might deploy. It actually reminds me of the main evil robots from the Pixar movie The Incredibles. It's a very traditional 60's classic SF design, the walking sphere of death. I think Cobra would LOVE these guys. If it were a little cheaper (and smaller!) I'd want to pick up extras to paint up in Crimson Guard colors, IG colors, desert colors, arctic colors, night force.... Law |

I saw this in TRU over here, was tempted to buy it. I'll probably get it eventually.

I saw it and thought that price was a error because it was the same vehicle size as the tanks and jedi starfighters. I hope they will come down on the price. Target has a price cut on all SW vehicles from now till oct 25.

The price IS higher than it should be -- but I don't think it's fair to compare it with the Jedi starfighters. While the boxes are the same size, the toy inside is much, much larger than the starfighters. I can see this as a $30 if they're $25. It may be more fair to price them at $18 and this at $25, but I'm not sure that's going to happen.

I think across the pond they are at TRU. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, I should have mentioned -- that's where I got mine. WM is asking $35, but for some reason online dealers are asking closer to $50. That's just insane.
