Interesting.
Weird that only Marvel figures are listed and not the companies that produced them: Toybiz and now Hasbro. Can't wait for the first "now they can lower the price" comment.

Lower prices on mutant toys but I guess we are stuck paying normal price for our dolls...

I remember working at a company where we had this guy and that's basically all he did. He would challenge the classifications of our products to get a lower duty.
This is very subjective. What about Star Wars? You have creatures mixed in with Jedi's which may or may not look human, but then you have regular guys like rebel soldiers that are human with no super abilities like Jedi. Does it only take 1 figure to get a whole shipment reclassified? I think a doll should be an extremely narrow definition such as being a certain scale (like 1/6 scale), be of a human, and have a base body that is essentially naked on which you put miniature clothing. Then everything else should be considered a toy. Of course this would still include 12" Joes, but you can't have everything I guess. |
