Still do the customs man,I`d like to see them. I`m working on some uniform dressed ones from the 2007 Ex Machina film. Also some cybrogs for ESWAT to quash. Was lucky I found a Landmate on it`s own for sale,so grapped it. Plus the set,Hopefully I`ll have 2 Landmates but I have heard the packing of the parts with each figure, doesn`t actually guarentee a complete Landmate with the 5 figures.

I already have the base figure of Deunam and Briareos, but didn't have the time to start sculpting. I also have the crazy idea of build a Landmate from scratch. A working landmate, where i can put Deunam. OMG they're fully compatible

Aah i see...cheaters! Well, i'd like to do a real one. I can use some model of a robot, and sculpt on top of it. Hollowing it should be easy.

Sweet idea would be something to see. You doing the Ex Machina style or the more traditional Manga style?

the blue, simple eswat suit for Briareos tho i'm not sure if doing the rolled-up sleeves jacket, or do it in a shirt and sculpt the bionic arms. For Deunam i'm doing the blue suit with tech breastplate. I really like that design. I might do a black suit version with jacket and patch for deunam, not sure.

Oh another make of Appleseed figures does exist in the 4" figure style. No idea on who made them but they have double joins on knee`s & elbows & have a more Manga approach to uniform more akin to the 2004 movie rather than the sharper 2007 Ex machina uniform.
When my SNap Kits arrive I`ll take some comparison photos of them. I`m thinking of having both operational ESWAT,maybe different units hence differences. Doing it this way will give me a larger avenue to play with customs. When you start your Landmate, any chance you could run a WIP thread too or share photos with pm`s? As I`d like to see how it goes & if I can manage one or more of my own. |

I have this set, but it's packed up actually (moving). I got it from BBTS. In order to get the Landmate you MUST get an original sealed case of the figs to avoid chasing and getting doubles. Hot Toys set it up so you get two of each fig and the Landmate. My Landmate was missing one ball joint in the leg, and I thought I was hosed, but contacted them directly and they sent me the missing part. Great customer service. I picked up the first series of Appleseed figs they made a few years ago while I was in Japan. The new set is better, more detailed and a bit more durable than the first set. They look great next to Joes, and are close enough in scale that you really don't notice the difference. One of the best points is the weapons they come with, way more detailed and just plain cool than the weapons Hasbro packs w/ the Joes. Glad to see some other Appleseed fans on the Tank!
