They each have their own positives, but over all I think I prefer power team elite.

Power Team Elite easily. The figures are not terrible like most Chap Mei, and Lanard figures. And the vehicles are semi realistic, and very affordable, as well as being somewhat durable. And they have a wide selection of stuff, so you should be able to find something you like no matter if it is: a jet, helicopter, tank, boat, or even jeeps/humvees. I know Lanard has been coming out with some pretty decent figures lately, but PTE still beats them.

Vehicles: Power Team Elite overall.
Figures: Chap Mei is creative but cheap (only painting details on front of figures) and lacking in articulation. Lanard's old o-ringes were the closest knock-off to ARAH, but the t-crotch figures left me cold and the new figures are better but don't scale well. Power Team Elite has a lot of articulation, but kind of boring figures and some of the last few I've gotten had quality issues, one broke at the waist, another's thin hip joint tore (not even repairable). |

Every time I bring up Corps figure being rip offs over in the Corps thread I get pointed out to me that Joes where actually rip offs of something else they just had more money so more of a push behind them. Not sure how true that is.

If you're located in the United States - Lanard Corps!
Reason: They are easily obtainable at every Walmart at relatively low costs, have more attractive figure designs than Power Team Elite and more articulation than Chap Mei. In addition they have a decent range of vehicles that aren't limited to 20th century military designs. ** Of course if you like pure military designs then Power Team Elite is better no matter where you live. I personally like a bit more excitement and imagination within my action figure ranks. ** If you're located OUTSIDE OF the United States - Power Team Elite Reason: They are easily obtainable virtually everywhere that matters online (i even found them on Amazon Canada as an Amazon Prime product) at relatively low costs ($4 or less per figure), have more articulation than Chap Mei and seem easier to find at low costs when compared to Lanard Corps (which is crazy. It seems Power Team Elite is starting to beat Lanard at their own game when it comes to low cost 4'' fully articulated military action figures). In addition Power Team Elite seems to offer more accessories than Lanard Corps per package. All things being equal Lanard Corps! should be head and shoulders ahead of Power Team Elite which has box shaped figure bodies and constant generic soldier body reuse but they just aren't. The Power Teal Elite fully articulated (i.e. not a t crotch) pilot figures are better than Lanards current t-crotch pilot figures. The ability to amass lots of generic troops with Power team Elite is superior to the frustration that comes along with trying to find troop builders in the Corps! line (which as of now is the difficult to obtain Corps! Shrapnel figure which is awesome). Again...Power Team Elite just keeps hanging around and making this fight closer than it should be through distribution , low costs and accessibility. If their figures looked a bit better they'd be a juggernaut. I understand why they chose the hinge swivel hips though. Last edited by Plasticfan; 05-07-2020 at 03:42 AM.. |

I remember when the Power Team Elite 3 packs with big accessory were $4 or $5. The Humvees were $13.

For figures: Lanard. They are goofy and cartoony but they are well made. PTE figures are well articulated but generic AF. Chap Mei figures are junk.
For Vehicles: PTE. They are realistic and inexpensive. I just wish they were more available here. Second is Chap Mei. Their quality has seemingly dropped lately but stuff like the True Heroes CH-53 compares well against some of the best stuff Hasbro ever did. Then there’s stellar stuff like their Merkava and Wiesel. Just an amazing variety of stuff, I wish they’d give us some older stuff from the vault. Lanard has made some good stuff for sure, but i don’t have good luck finding the best stuff at retail and I wish they’d reissue some of their older stuff too.
