Just wondering, I am planning to buy a 1/18th scale die-cast car for covert ops or a Cobra command vehicle and have found that a 1/18th scale Maisto die-cast car would probably do the job. I was thinking about buying this Lamborghini Diablo for Dr. Mindbender and was wondering if He would even be able to fit in side the thing. I am also contemplating buying a Porsche Cayenne Turbo for a covert transport for the Joes.
So I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with using these cars for their Joes. |

you can use but you'd have to open up the die cast vehicle and do some tampering to the chassis or the interior flooring, seats etc in order to fit the figures.

Thanks, I was thinking as much, but I am a bit worried that the Lambo will be to small to really do much with or fix.

been a very long time since ive done one. mine unscrewed and I was able to get the bottom off the top and then I could cut the floor a lot easier. the feet dangled but you really couldn't tell in a lowered car. in a truck I had to cut the floor out so the knees wouldn't bang but I was able to stretch the legs out and not have them dangle.
i'd say buy them at a price point you're comfortable with should things go left. if its not to bad you can still display the car or sell it at a yard sale. |

1:18 cars are not joe sized. Modern 1:18 is the historical old 1:16, which was a doll size. You will need to mod the cars, especially since cheaper modern Diecast cars usually do not include the leg space for figures.
(History from Lundby. Apparently. . . . ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lundby_(company)) *edit: blasted Url errors Last edited by Snakeeyesisposh; 05-15-2019 at 09:37 PM.. |

You may have more luck with RC cars. They may be cheaper too. I found this lambo at Ross for $20.

However, I will probably just let the idea sit until i find something that I like enough to re motivate myself for the project. Also I have been searching online for the model/RC cars to use but it is exceedingly hard to tell if a figure will fit because of how the cars are displayed. |

One other question though. Does anybody know if the 1/18 die-cast motor cycles work for Dreadnoks, or are they too small like the cars.

My two cents on this, an 1:18 diecast is not the best choice although you have a lot of options. To fit, you will have to cut floor and trim the seats to make the driver seat a bit lower. Lower cars like Lambs or Ferraris probably this will not be sufficient.
My advice is RC cars as well. You don't have much options but there are a few in 1:14 and 1:16 scales. I have a 1:14 BMW i8 customized as Robocop car myself and a 1:16 Lamb Urus which will be a civilian car. Both can hold 4'' figures just fine. The BMW i8 is a bit big but nothing some mods won't fix. I had to slide the seats a bit to the front and adjust the steering column to be closer to driver. They were both easy fixes and it looks awesome.
