As a kid I never collected Transformers despite loving the cartoon. I always felt the movies weren't very playable friendly and often never looked like their cartoon counterparts. I just recently bought the Siege of Cybertron Optimus and Megatron, and found myself loving both as toys and good likenesses. Then picked up Power of the Primes Jazz. Was wondering if someone could give me recommendations as to the best G1 likenesses of other G1 characters out there? Not looking to spend a fortune on the Masterpiece figures though.

If you're looking for a less expensive line that Siege line looks pretty good.

I definitely don't want to do Masterpiece. Way too expensive for me.
I did pick up Grimlock, Snarl and Sludge from POTP and love them as well as a purple Cyclonus that looks like his G1 version. |

Going back the last few years most generations figures look pretty good. Also Trypticon can be had for relatively cheap of late.

Good to hear. Have gone through the web and found most of what I would want to buy.
Any suggestions for Skywarp,Bumblebee, Brawn and Wheeljack? Not looking for Masterpiece ones, hoping to find decent G1 likenesses. |

Titan Wars/POTP had pretty good versions of Bee and Brawn. I would also agree that the POTP Dinobots are excellent. Other suggestions would be POTP Evolution Optimus Prime and Generations Leader class Jetfire.

I have some extras of Sideswipe and Hound from the Siege line. $20 plus shipping. I also have a bunch of other figures from similar series that fit in real nice with this set as well.
