Cool! I missed this video the first time around. I actually got a couple of these recently from eBay, and they're neat little curios. I will grab a few more of them eventually.
I found out that K-mart had its own line called "American Defense", apparently unrelated to the Remco line, which also used these same models of figure and the talking backpacks. "Brownie" above is from the American Defense line.

AMERICAN DEFENSE was 1. Galoob or bootleg Galoob A-Team/Patch molds (first year or two) 2. Remco's swivel arm molds (lasted the longest time, hence why so many associate American Defense with Remco) 3. The IMPACT/Adventure Man molds (sometime in the 90's) EDIT: The figure line sold at Kay-Bee that I was thinking of was Remco's US Forces: Defenders of Peace.
