Dino fever is spreading which (thanks to Mattel's Jurassic World line) translates into more JOE-compatible sets.
Discovered three different Dino Hunting vehicles (Chap Mei?) that each have: 1. an open cabin for 2 figures plus steering wheel (working doors on one truck and legroom may be tight for taller Modern Era Joes). 2. working wheels, lights, and sound (which do not detract from the vehicle's design). 3. comes with one figure (average Real American Hero size) with 9 PoA. 4. various playset accessories from static dinosaurs, four-wheel ATV, working cage unit, large piloted truck turret with projectile, and working cargo container unit. Happy Hunting!

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to have any close-ups of the figures? Or can you offer any feedback on their build quality (even just appearance-wise) and whether or not there is any fodder potential from the figures?

But the figures looked to be improvements over the Power Team Elite figures and far from the 5 PoA Chap Mei army figures. These Dino figures are better proportioned and better sculpted. Each figure are the same mold, generic mercenary with sunglasses, ball cap, vest, boots and gloves. Roughly the size of 50th Shipwreck. Hope that helps.

Until you pull the human figure out and test out what his actual articulation scheme is or how durable the figure is, I would not say it's an improvement over Power Team Elite.
I have a tub of Single Carded Power Team Elite from 2004-2005ish? in the back, they're still as good as new even now, what you pay for in Power Team Elite figures is their ridiculous durability. The damn things are ridiculously hard to destroy and don't scratch easy. It's unfortunate the joints tend to go loose first and the rubbery accessories tend to destroy themselves., otherwise you would be able to use them indefinitely. |

I must've bought a different Power Team Elite. I've had figures break instantly, those thin hip pegs is they are stuck just twist right off, another broke off at the waist.

The plastic gets fused so when I try to loosen the joint, it breaks. It doesn't happen very often to me but I have seen it happen. Most of the time it's those damn ankle joints. I make them do Ballerina Tip Toes, the joint can't handle the stress so the feet fall off. What am I to do with all these feet less figures right? So I fuse the feet back on with glue. |
