I don't play with my figures that much to have a consistent opinion but here goes.
I think the materials in general are a bit better and so are the paint jobs. I don't feel so much that oily paint anymore. Also the neck joint is casted in color, no paint apps which avoids paint rub. They included spare disc joints in my figures to replace damaged ones. Paint apps on the faces are better at least for me. Yes the neck piece still comes out rather easily. But overall they seem to me a step up. Another thing I like about these is the fact we don't have waist of plastic in packages. Everything is cardboard and foam. |

Yeah, okay; those guys' hip sockets are sculpted a lot farther down than the earlier JT guys I have. You could *easily* cut away some of that material to allow proper movement, mate.

If they do indeed improve the hips I’ll give em a gander. Why the hell would they lead with diaper crotch though?

Aesthetics. It covers the gap around the hip joints. They just needed a hinge at the nexus of the T-bar to allow the hips to drop down and clear the extra plastic.
We're all used to GI Joe, so the hip gap doesn't even register with us as a problem. But the nicer figures these days tend to have crotches that look best when the figure is standing straight up. |

Giving PRC companies ducats for USA military themed collectibles is a head scratcher.
Go Ameri-, er Go PRC?!?!?

Photography is becoming critical in selling action figures in the online shopping era. It's almost a let-down when you finally get the figures in hand and realize the pretty pictures you saw (for free) was the best application of them and there really isn't that much you can do with them beyond replicating what you've already seen. They're like trailers that give away the plot of the movie. |

sadly, this is nothing new. and it only gets less new by the day. next time you're out shopping, and see a flag, check the tag.

Locker Toys has the new Hardcore Cold Play sets available for roughly $25 USD a figure, the same as Ali Express. If you order off Locker Toys in the next two weeks, you get a free unpainted figure.
