I finally found stuff at Target after a lot of driving. I have 4 targets in decent driving range and when I was hunting Solo stuff yesterday, all of them had huge empty sections tagged out for JP/JW with no product. Today, I hit them all again and they still had huge empty sections except the farthest one I hit last. Went a little bonkers and grabbed more than I should have. Nostalgia is a powerful drug...
Update: So, I just cracked these open and they are damn nice, best retail stuff out of Mattel in years as far as I am concerned. The articulation on the humans is great and the deco looks really nice. The faces have a lot of depth and not a single lazy eye to be found. The likenesses are really good for the scale as well. It is a bummer that they are true 3 3/4, but they are not too drastically out of scale for me. The accessories are few and a bit oversized, but it is cool that they stuck with the tiny Dino with each figure. The vehicles are fun, not amazing but the price is right. The gyrosphere is fun to roll around and the Jeep fits the figures nicely and had a working winch. The Jeep is all plastic, so a surprise since it is a Matchbox labeled product. I am also bummed at the Jurassic Park logos being stickers, but it’s not the end of the world. The dinosaurs are really where it is at. The colossal t-rex is awesome! Feeding humans and tiny dinos to it is far more fun than it should be. The velociraptor and dilophosaurus are solid little toys. I will have to pick up one of the jumping raptors at some point, they look fun. Looking at the word I used repeatedly, I say “fun”is the best way to describe the line. It probably won’t go down in history, but it could be what the toy industry needs right now.

Jurassic World Hasbro did not exist. IN REAL LIFE. EVER! NOPE, NO SUCH THING. LALALALALALALALA *Sigh, I wish Star Wars and GI Joe were still alive. Then I could buy some more OTC Storm troopers for some Dinos to eat. |

I just don't get how the Hasbro Jurassic World line went so wrong, in every aspect.
I literally felt nothing seeing that merchandise. Meanwhile I was so excited for the movie and everything. Now with the Mattel stuff, I was literally getting super nostalgic just seeing images from TF. Even the joy I got seeing JP3 merch even in Walmart before I even knew the movie was coming up. The merchandise is actually making me more excited for the movie Honestly i'd definitely prefer the humans being GI JOE scale and quality but whatever the price is amazing and there is good selection. If the great price can make the line very successful im all for it then. Maybe once World slows down Legacy can shift to the main and we maybe get stuff like the Ford Explorers, Lost World Mercedes, large Spino, large brachiosaurus and others. I know that the stuff they have planned is scheduled in waves that are to come out through the fall, so Mattel seems to think this line has legs. Considering how disappointing every Disney era Star Wars line has been and G.I. Joe being MIA, it is nice to have something at retail to be excited for.
I did end up getting the jumping raptor and man can that thing hop. Having it pounce on Muldoon is almost as good as stuffing dudes into the t-rex’s Mouth. The thing I didn’t realize until I had it in hand is the t-rex is actually closer to a Marvel legend/6 inch scale than the 3 3/4 size. The thing is seriously huge.

No problem...did you get everything you were looking for?
Since I have already found the Colossal T-rex, Grant, Saddler, Muldoon, classic Jeep, and classic Raptor at Target earlier last week along with Dino trainer Owen and Owen w/ baby Blue at Wal-Mart I thought I would venture out today and see what else I needed. No where had anything.....I had to have them pull the remaining stuff. I got another classic Jeep since my son took over mine...along with attack pack Blue, Dilophosaurus, Roaravores Ticeratops, and Claire with the Gyrosphere. That's about it until Malcolm comes out and whatever additional classic figures there are. |

I think they had some good stuff, but not quite sold on the 3.75 yet. I think MGR, modern Joe, and SA have spoiled me.
I picked up a 7.99 rapter. Am planning on getting more dinos and the die cast jeep. The sphere launching truck would look good with a paint job, but it's a shame there's no drivers seat or cabin to speak of. |

My local Target had nothing. The local Walmart has the pegs and shelves all set but no merchandise.
