“The boss says we can’t describe it as 5 points of articulation any more? He wants a new name? Let’s call it collector grade articulation. Those whiny ass collectors will buy whatever we put on the shelf.”

[QUOTE=solosam;5100615]It's really hard to tell, but it looks like T-hips (boo!) with jointed shoulder, elbow, and knee. May be similar to the reduced articulation in recent Marvel 3.75 movie figures.
No vix pics yet. Good job on the pics, they are grainy but they most def look better than what Hasbro offered. Just look at the Owen on the Moto.

I don't see how people are surprised at the articulation on these. just look at the older DC multiverse line with batman and you'll see what articulation these will have . your prob talking ball jointed head. ball socket shoulder single joint elbow (but no swivel) wrist swivel, that T opening style crotch a upper thigh swivel a single jointed knee and no ankle articulation. least that was how it was done with that 4" mattel line.

Its like Hasbro had completely forgotten what makes a Jurassic Park line a Jurassic Park line and not some generic dinosaur toys.
Its the culmination of good Humans, good dinosaurs, decent-good vehicles. Playsets were great but secondary as well. Hopefully Mattel can do more than JW and we get Grant, etc. Also looking at the Hot Wheels i'd kill for them to get 1/18 treatments, especially to go with my GI Joe Grant custom. |

A while back during CHAOS EFFECT (which was the last classic Kenner style Dino Toyline), Hasbro fired EVERY SINGLE Kenner employee who designed the classic Jurassic park toys to cut costs because of how disastrous the Chaos EFFECT toyline was performing. Similiar to what they did with super Soaker designer larami who formed Buzz Bee Toys. They then sent Star Wars team members to design dinosaur toys, resulting in the INCREDIBLY inferior Jurassic Park 3 toyline and a 14 year gap where no one in Hasbro wanted to work on Jurassic Park toys. Remember Dino Showdown? THAT ACTUALLY WAS A 100% GI JOE SPINOFF project!! They got allocated massive resources from the GI Joe department which at the time dominated Hasbro politics. It was seen as a good way to have an Adventure Team style spinoff excuse to reuse dinosaur tooling to prep a Jurassic Park department for future use and training. When the GI JOE department became super weak during the Jp World development cycle due to Retaliation underperforming toy wise and the 50th GI Joe department becoming unfavored inside the company, various Hasbro factions cannibalized the staff of the Jurassic Park section again and the JP World toy designers started from scratch AGAIN!!! Not only that, they often assigned the lowest paid and newest designers to that department and wouldn't assign resources because historically Hasbro couldn't get Jurassic Park toys to EVER WORK!!! So the other departments just decided to always strip it of resources whenever they could. ------------------------------------ WOW right? The real question becomes how the heck could Hasbro Jurassic World toys ever could have been anything but awful in this environment. They deserved to lose that license, even though Mattel is no better. . . . . . . . . . |
