And they gave him his SPAS-12, too, for all the good it did him in the movie.
Did we ever get a final confirmation on size? I'm expecting these to measure in at closer to 3.75'' than 4'', but that's still OK enough.

It’s a Tec-9, so kids can recreate Sam Neil’s famous line from the first film. “DRIVE BY, FOOL!”

Didn't read it previously on the Tank but Jurassic Outpost and Toyark are saying that Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler, Dr. Malcom and Mr. Muldoon will only be available in Target and are part of the Jurassic Park Legacy Collection. I bet they will be in the collectible area near the Stranger Things figures.

He had a supply of LAW rockets in the novel (and killed at least two raptors with them). Spielberg seems to have some weird fixation on preventing the human characters from actually killing dinosaurs in the JP movies. He apparently personally vetoed Joe Johnston’s original treatment for the end of JPIII, which would have featured the protagonists being rescued from certain death by the USMC, with all guns blazing (leading to a much more subdued conclusion where the Marines merely land on the beach and never fire a shot). What makes this even more strange is that Spielberg himself is a huge gun-nut with an enormous personal arsenal who has a high-end Italian firm produce a special commemorative piece for each new film he completes production on...

@ CADPAT: Yup! Amazing how the book and the movie deviated, particularly when it came to deaths/action sequences. I loved the movie, but after reading the book, I just couldn't look at the movie the same way. I understand that the movie had to cut some plot points for brevity, but man, having Muldoon and Gennaro drive around blowing up raptors with a bazooka seems like the sort of thing you'd fight to keep in.

In the first book, they nuked the island. Malcolm was left behind. Somehow he survived to be in the Lost World. Only two scenes from that book are actually in the movie.

No, Hammond was left behind after getting devoured by compys. Malcolm was taken back to Costa Rica with the others and they were told that he died, but in the sequel novel they retconned that to say that he was near death, or appeared dead but recovered. Translating the book directly to the screen would have resulted in a 8 hour movie, with the last two hours being repetitive with them powering the park back on, then losing power again because they were on backup the whole time. The fact that the animals were breeding was a major plot point in the novel and reduced to just a two minute scene in the movie. Other scenes from the first book found their way into the second movie, like the opening attack on the little girl, the compys killing Peter Stormare like they did Hammond, and the T-rex in the waterfall. I love both the book and movie, and while I enjoyed Jurassic World and thought it was a fun revival, I really wish someone like Guillermo Del Toro could do a new translation of the book. Maybe as a HBO or Netflix 8 hour series.
