It sucks we’re not getting a 1/18 Legends two pack for BP like we have for the last few MCU movies. I guess there’s still time to reveal something at Toyfair... it seems to me that the Ant Man/Civil War stuff had a weird timing for their release. I really hope we get some two packs for infinity war.

Lots of good deals on them on ebay lately. And others. I got a Play Arts Kai Deathstroke for $14, including shipping. Expect to pay $100+ for a legit SH figuarts black panther. Honestly I wouldn't even buy it. Go look up the Fwoosh video and/or written review (Bandai: S.H. Figuarts Captain America: Civil War Black Panther Video and Quick Pics | The Fwoosh) and you'll see how hindered it's articulation is in the troso, elbows, knees, and hips when compared to the Hasbro marvel legend. It's garbage. Expensive garbage. And it doesn't even have claws-out hands (read below to find out why). Adding to that, both the Hasbro ML and the Bandai figuarts Civil War Black Panther figures are movie-INaccurate because their sculpts are based off of non-final suit designs (Hasbro's is concept art and Bandai's is the physical prop costume). The physical costume that Chadwick Boseman wore on set wasn't even the final design because it was completely 100% done over in CGI. The CGI suit is what you see on screen throughout the film (bottom suit): https://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram...UwOA%3D%3D.2.c Here's a video on the evolution of the suit: The Hot Toys figure IS modeled after the CGI on-screen appearance: https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UekfrlaLI...ackpanther.jpg The SH Figuarts is modeled after the physcial suit Chadwick wore during filming/mocap: http://thefwoosh.com/wp-content/uplo...earbook-01.jpg This is why the necklace is different, the hands lack claws, feet lacks toe claws, the suit has sculpted wrinkly fabric areas and is not 100% form-fitting, little details are different here and there, and why the mask has little air holes at the mouth because that's where he was breathing through (the final CGI suit does not have these breathing holes): http://hollywoodmoviecostumesandprop...r-costume.html The Hasbro Marvel Legend seen here: https://i2.wp.com/thefwoosh.com/wp-c...-Panther-4.jpg Is based off of conceptual art like this: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...gBMAE..i&w=934 The design of this bootleg/original 3rd party figure lies somewhere between the CGI suit and the actor-worn suit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-CAPTAIN-AMERICA-CIVIL-WAR-PANTERA-NEGRA-BLACK-PANTHER-FIGURE-16cm/272483222901?hash=item3f71440575:g:lcsAAOSwRMRYToE E So the only screen-accurate Civil War Black Panther figure as-far-as-I-know, is the Hot Toys figure. Bummer. I personally prefer the Hasbro Marvel Legend, dispite its inaccuracies, it has great articulation, claw hands, and a real dynamic stance. The figure has presence and exhibits an almost cat-man like anatomy to whatever pose you put it in. Plus, you get an alternate unmasked head. I treat it like a pre-civil war Black Panther costume. Something his predecessor would have worn. But I do hope we get an updated Civil War sculpt figure from Hasbro with more articulation, though I think there's a fat chance of that happening unless Black Panther toys do very well and they make another wave of figures like a regular Killmonger, a Klaw, and more of Panther's friends/family because the costume designs in this upcoming film are God damn gorgeous.

Target is starting to stock the Black Panther items. They've got 6'' figures as well as some larger figures, such as the 12'' Titan Heroes and another large size figure (larger than 12'', I think) that I didn't look at very closely. Not my cup of tea, but they look nice. I'm happy to see this movie is getting a merchandising push, even if 4'' is getting hung out to dry.

I have to agree with some of the criticism here. My son received his first “The Force Awakens” figures when he was 7 y/o for Christmas. He never liked them from the beginning due to the limited articulation. He called them Zombie Troopers and Trash Toys and didn’t play with them at all. He still likes Star Wars and has seen all the movies, but when I buy him toys I spend my money on E Bay instead of at the store. I understand that kids will outgrow these things but with Star Wars at least you have a captive audience, you spent all this money buying the franchise, if you can’t keep the attention of a 7y/o child you’ve failed somewhere and in my case at least you’ve lost revenue too.

Guys, at least with Killmonger, the smaller figures weapons are the exact same size as the marvel legend's weapons. So you can use the smaller figures weapons for the marvel legends if you want to.
