Does anyone know if the 1/32 scale ww2 aircraft that 21st Century toys put out can fit a modern era GI Joe figure? Or be customized to do so?
I know they produced 1/18 aircraft, but I prefer not to have a P-51D that is bigger than my true heroes f-22. |

I doubt it. Most G.I. Joe jets around 1/32 scale for the main body, the the cockpit section is usually off-scale to fit the figures. Maybe you can try modding a Chap Mei plane or the Sgt Savage plane to get something in the ballpark of what you are looking for.

You'd be hard pressed to get a modern era Joe in a 1/18 scale plane.

Yeah, I remember when I first got my Skystriker back in '83 - my brother had a revell 1/32 tomcat, and they were exactly the same size, except for the cockpit.
I was hoping I could mod the cockpit of the P-51D and use it as a make shift TA-6 wolverine or A-29 super tucano. And I really didn't want to spend $100 to find out. |

The Corps! has the Sky Strike jet - it has not been released in the US. It is basically a fusion of the early jets and a P-51. Not sure if this would help you out.

No clue to be honest. I live in the US and it has not been released over here. If you go to the Corps! megathread one of the users may be able to tell you how to get one as he works for Lanard the company that makes them.

Yeah, just googled it and found info in that very thread. Thanks again for the heads up - I'll be keeping an eye open for it.
Still curious is the P-51D is customizable, though ... |
