I guess the boss fight pre order must be closed now.

That's interesting. I wonder if it means they are closer to shipping?

I asked myself that exact same question all of two minutes after pre-ordering three of these girls, as I usually don't buy figures unless I have an idea of what I want to use them for. At first I was just going to use them as more Joe recruits, but that just didn't seem right to me. Eventually I figured out a role for them that radically altered the entirety of my personal "Joe-verse".
Essentially, the three girls I picked up, Amy, Virginie and Mind-Controller, are former soldiers from a recently collapsed Dictatorial State military they were forcibly enrolled in. At the collapse of their government, they fled their mid-revolt military in a prototype armored transport, saving themselves as multiple military forces turned what was once their homes into a war zone. Eventually they settle into starting a wasteland delivery service of sorts, traveling all over dangerous, conflict filled environments, fighting off pirates, bandits and aggressive armies of neighboring countries. Amy acts as the brains of the group, working with all the tech, running communications and generally being smarter then everyone in the room. Virginie is the tough one, strong as an ox despite her appearance and the main driver of their transport. While the Mind Controller, highest ranked and most experienced of the three, acts as the tank commander and boss of the crew. Their ride of choice is a Star Wars Vintage Series Imperial "Assault Tank", which I will modify once I have the girls in hand to allow them to all sit snug inside the cab. Out of the box both the driver and commander have to hang out of the hatches to ride around in it, and while that's nice sometimes, I prefer it when my figures can fit properly in their vehicles. My Joe-verse used to be a simple Joe v Cobra set up, but because of the PGV figures their entire world has changed. The Joes are now a internationally backed standing army made up of hand picked special forces teams trying to maintain peace in a war torn region. Cobra remains a for-profit terrorist organization causing havoc for pretty much everyone involved. The large pile of PTE soldiers I've amassed over the years now act as troops from neighboring countries causing conflict across the region. My MTF figures, utilizing mostly Star Wars vehicles, have found a unified purpose (no longer being mixed with Joes and Cobra) and act as a highly developed, highly aggressive imperialistic nation trying to expand it's control. Of course where you have an "Evil Empire" you need a rebellious splinter faction, which uses some specific Star Wars figures mixed in with other random soldiers from various lines. I'm even mixing in figures from the Lost Planet and even some Fortnite lines (though most of the latter figures need new heads) to use as pirates and wasteland bandits. With all these new factions, Destro and his M.A.R.S. industries now have far more clients they can deal with. All while my PGV girls run deliveries for pretty much anyone that will pay em. These figures pretty much revitalized my love of the 1:18 scale and reshaped my entire Joe-verse narrative to feature a far more intricate balance of factions and military forces. I can't wait to get these girls in hand so I can finally start work on their tank and hopefully get some good pics of em in action. My plans for these initial figures will be to incorporate them into my "Joe Story" or "Joeverse." I've preordered Mind Controller, Amy, Virginie, and the female blank. Amy will be my civilian-dressed Jinx. Virginie, Mind Controller and the female blank bodies will offer alternate outfits for primary Joe females like Lady Jaye, Cover Girl or Scarlett. Not sure what I will do with the head sculpts at this time. I do have some original, support team, female characters I've created for my Joeverse. So, I may just use the head sculpts for those custom figures. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a new action figure. I think the creator of PGV has done their homework on all the other available action figures currently available and pulled the best of those designs together into this project. Jason |

The Boss Fight pre-order only ran thru the 8th. Figures will ship soon from China and then I assume they will take approximately 2-3 weeks to arrive stateside.
You can still order them at Diowarriors Last edited by daremo; 03-22-2019 at 08:40 AM.. |

Apparently, Boss Fight is only physically getting the number of figures ordered on their site, and they had a set date to turn those numbers in, if I read their site right. That's why there was a set pre-order period, and yeah, I would imagine since it closed a week or so ago, it must mean they'll get their supply shortly thereafter...

I wonder if it's an experiment on BFS' part to try stepping up as a general vendor, specializing in overall 18th stuff.

At some point before ZL was completed, it had been announced BFS would be the distributor here in America. Obviously that didn't happen. But it's good to see them helping us get the PGV figures.

No recent news that I've been able to find. Is Weihua Wei still lurking around the Tank?
