I know what you mean, I feel the same way. I am interested, but I'm not seeing anything fresh or unique enough to pull me in with these first two.
That said, there are some Wave 2 prototypes and I'm really digging the look of the guy in the long coat and hood. |

I just got mine form lockertoys. I am very pleased with both, but the mono-eyed guy is star of the two. Really cool figure!

The arms and legs look like they aren't really attached in a quality manner. What are your opinions on the pegs that hold the arms and legs in?

Is the shoulder peg connecting to the torso with a ball joint, then the traditional shoulder hinge as well; or is the peg just longer than normal?

Yes, so it functions like the butterfly shoulder joint on the Marvel Legends figures, allowing more possibility and with the head and neck articulated, you can get some realistic shoulder firing poses.

Ah, gracias; finally an explanation for the stick-too-far-out shoulders. At least it's a deliberate choice for added functionality instead of just a fubar that also looks bad. I'm much more anticipatory for the Destiny guy now that I know he'll look good and have better artic.

Is the plastic quality comparable to Joes?

I just got my two, and they remind me of the Acid Rain basic soldier plastic more than Joes or Marauder plastic.
