I just paid $40 for a Rancor am I crazy?

Christmas 1983 received my vintage Rancor from Santa Claus. Somewhere between the day after Christmas and New years Eve my cousin dropped Jedi Luke's light saber down the mouth of my Rancor and it's been stuck in there ever since. Rattles every time you shake it.
Missed out on the first Rancor exclusive from a few years back (I think it was $29.99 the first go round)
Found it at Target the other day and dropped $40 on it. The whole time I'm walking to the register I'm thinking this is overpriced.
Anybody else get one?

No but I've seen them and they look friggin aweome! I'd drop 40 if I was collecting Star Wars but 30 does sound more fair.

No, I'm actually surprised it's not more than $40 honestly. With that TRU exclusive Lars Homestead, and exclusives last Christmas being $60... I actually considered picking him up too for about 2 minutes. I've got the last version though... so I'll stick with that one.

I waited for the skiff to go on clearance and when they did they were long gone.

I've picked it up and considered it (it's a great improvement from the one the released a few years ago) But I'm also hoping for clearance. If I miss out, I've still got my older one. (but if I didn't have that one, I definitely would have picked the new one up when I saw it)

I lucked up and scored a MISB ROTJ Rancor for a little more than that a couple years back. I'm still tempted to buy the new one once the price comes down.

I bought one on clearance last February for $20.00 and love it.

yeah, I kinda wish I would have picked that one up when I saw it (it was on clearance too) but I said I'm not gonna do expanded universe. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

I think its a good purchase. The thing rocks. He is huge.
