Runnings is a chain of farm and rural supply stores. The one near me fills up an entire old Walmart and has four aisles of toys, including lots of 1/18 and 1/16 trucks and farm equipment that might be useful to Joe collectors. They also had a small selection of Chap Mei military stuff..

Never heard of it before, but here we have a store called "Rural King" which I suppose is the same type place. They have all of the Bruder stuff. Figs are about an inch too tall but the vehicles are amazing Joe scale.

Lol Runnings.
Seriously. I go there all the time to buy bottles of Sioux City root beer that's on sale. I live in South Dakota and Runnings is everywhere. It used to be called S and S back in the day and they had tons of toys in the 1980s from g.I. Joe and Star Wars figures. These days Runnings is a farming department store. The "toys" are a joke where it's farm animal figurines and dumb Catopoly board games and hunting/fishing doll figures |

I haven't had that since I was a kid. That was the best, that and their sarsaparilla. My Grand Parents ran a grocery store when I was a kid, and would always buy that to sell in the store. Then sometime around 1990 they couldn't get it from the wholesale place anymore. I've looked for that root beer since then. I could never remember the name of it. Thank you so much for mentioning it, I'm gonna find some to order online and try to relive some old memories. |

Sadly, the only "action" figures these days in any Runnings stores are farm toys, plastic wild animals figurines, stupid Cat monopoly board games, fishing and hunting dolls and big honkin plastic semi trucks.
