I got a notice for my all-in and *some* of the add-ons, so that's something.

I also had an All In, with a suit pack and a police pack, but I got my All In last week. Haven’t heard about the extras yet, but I imagine those will come after everything else is sent out.

My shipment is "out for delivery." Prepare yourselves for a clear-eyed review...

Now, onward to the figures... I managed to free all of the joints on the two male survivors without having to resort to hot water. If you are familiar with Palisades' Army of Darkness line, these look and feel very similar. I consider that to be a bad thing, and if you have any Palisades you probably know what I mean. The plastic is pretty stiff and there is thick paint on almost the entire figure, just like Palisades. I'll go into more and better detail later, but off the bat all wrists are painted heavily and they immediately shed their paint upon use of the articulation. The underlying plastic color is not even close to the paint color, so they will stick out like a sore thumb once you move the wrists. I'll have to investigate, but if the hands are the same color plastic you might be better off just stripping all of the flesh color paint from the figure because the wrist plastic is actually closer to a normal (albeit "caucasian-ish") flesh tone. The wrist pegs have also been painted the same "flesh" tone before being inserted into the forearms. Why? Who knows? The heads are apparently cast in white. This is certainly true for Duncan, because I stripped a bit of the paint from the inside of his head to check. I imagine all of the figures are the same, but I can't state this for certain. On the matter of Duncan's head... It sits too low and you can't move it up and down. If you turn it left and right his chin hits the shirt collar and his head comes off. I didn't notice the same problem with Ryan's head. Both heads, however, come off of the barbell with ease and the barbell stays in the neck. This is the opposite of BFS neck barbells which typically require needle-nose pliers to remove from heads. The arms on the figures can't rest at their sides. It's especially bad for Ryan because of his vest. The issue is no better if you put these arms on a BFS torso. In fact, the problem is even worse. They look like Ralphie's little brother from A Christmas Story when their mother finishes bundling him up for the cold. The ZL wrist pegs are longer and slightly fatter than BFS wrist pegs. They can be crammed in if you insist, but it's not a comfortable fit. Conversely, the BFS hands fit ever so slightly too loosely in the ZL forearms. The ZL hands themselves are larger than the BFS hands. The shirted uppers CANNOT be put onto BFS blanks lowers because the hole for the waist peg is too small on the ZL lower torsos. Similarly, putting bare BFS torso on a ZL waist results in a loose fit where the lower torso slides around side-to-side and front-to-back, and even rotates with the upper torso when you twist the upper torso. Presumably, you could unscrew the waist and swap the interior pegs, but I haven't tried that yet. Even if that does work it comes with two possible issues. First, you will have a blanks-colored hip peg visible on the pants-bottomed figure which is not ideal. Second, you're going to have to hope that the hip balls are truly perfectly compatible with the ZL legs. That seems like a big "if" given that the other ZL appendages I have tested are not properly sized with BFS. I haven't even tried to pull a leg off a ZL figure since there are reports that people are snapping hip pegs off that way. You can try it at your own risk, dear reader. So, the bottom line on the construction is that there are scaling and compatibility issues between the lines that are supposedly built on this full-compatibility, maximum-customization platform. They don't work natively with one another. Both figures have paint apps all over the legs. That's not surprising for Duncan since he has actual "detail" (and I use that word generously) paint, but why in the world did they paint all of Ryan's pants a flat color instead of just casting him in the darker brown color in the first place? Regardless, on both figures the back quarter or so of the upper thighs are unpainted because they painted the figures fully assembled and standing, and the butt cheeks blocked the paint apps. You can't see that when the legs are straight down in a static standing pose, but as soon as you lift a leg forward you see a large bare spot. I will quickly mention that the accessories (golf club, crow bar, lead pipe, and pistol) are actually quite nice. I'm not sure if they are to scale, but they look good. I had to put my figures away for a bit so that's all the news for now, but I will revisit the topic later on this evening if time permits.

Yikes, that was a bad review.
I will not panic yet. Depending on how many reviews something has. I tend to take the extremely positive and the extremely negitive reviews {on anything..toys, cars, movies, books) and toss them out and look at the middle ground reviews. I never expected these to be MGR level, it soindd like these may be 7th word level in terms of quality ehich is dissapointing since this is my firat time backing something on kockstwtter. |

Plenty of other people have mentioned the bad skin tones and the paint rub so that's old news. The only new info I am giving is the (inexcusable) lack of compatibility with BFS, strange paint app choices, and some shortcomings in the articulation. And, by the way, I am going to trademark "kockstwtter." I wonder if that URL is available...

Zap, thanks for the honesty, even if it was disheartening to read. I backed these solely for the cross compatibility with HACKS, it is going to suck if they are not really compatible(I realize that anything can be hacked in the customizing world)
Since quality seems to vary across the figures, which figures besides Duncan did you get in your order?
