For anyone still wanting to purchase a set of human, zombies or all in, the folks at Dream Concept has set up a post Kickstarter for late joiners. I sent them a PM asking if the late joiners purchases could unlock the fire zombie as we were only $5K away. I am waiting for a response to that, but if you were on the fence about it and was kicking yourself for not pulling the trigger, fear not, you have a second chance. Here is the link from Facebook: Post-Kickstarter campaign (Last chance) – Dream Concept

I just hear back from Dream Concept on reference to my question about unlocking the fire zombie: "No, but it will speed up for next wave. Because it is not fair to some backers If the late join change the result"
So there you have it.

Not fair how? If the late comers unlock more for us, I'm happier not angry.

Well, I just checked their Facebook page and wave 6 is unlocked and it said " A closed system will be developed and offered for backers only".

Right so basically instead of getting more figures for free we now get to pay for them.
Honestly maybe it's Kickstarter/Exclusive burnout but I have almost completely lost interest in this. I enthusiastically went all in on the first day and was super excited. Then they re-jiggered the stretch goals and made it harder to get to the higher ones. Coincidentally that's right where it stalled. Now the Kickstarter is over and they're talking about more add-ons for more money. I freaking hate that. Eagle Force did it, Hellscreamerz has it planned, and now Zombie Lab. Honestly it might be time to just give it up. Things are getting ridiculous. |

Wave 6 is already unlocked and does not include anything new.
I don't think anyone can say what the shuffle in stretch goals did for the amount of items unlocked but most people welcomed the change. I think they've said several times that no new items will be unlocked yet so they won't offer anything new for sale but it's insane to be mad if they chose to unlock more and charge us for them. Did you want them to just keep sending us free stuff? I think this was a very successful kickstarter and the all in value is amazing. I would have liked a couple more figures but I understand these people need to make money too. |

I don't understand the complaining.
Reaching USD200k is a great result and the per-figure value on the ALL-IN is excellent. It's too bad the Fire Zombie didn't get unlocked, but it's got end somewhere and a campaign's always going to fall short of something being unlocked, it's the nature of the thing. As English is not the creator's first language, I'm not going to parse their comments too closely, as they can easily be misinterpreted. I believe all they are saying is that the stuff that didn't get unlocked will be available at retail as part of future waves, which is the point of the whole kickstarting-a-company exercise after all. |

They are catering to the needs of the fans, a kickstarter is a setup to get your product out there, not a pre-order at a low low cost. People seem to misunderstand this completely. Look if the stretchgoals hadn't gone even half as far this wouldn't even have been noticed. |
